Audience, Purpose, and Genre Idea

My target audience is 16-22-year-old girls who are considering

a career in the military, preferably the Air Force. My audience
could either be in high school, high school graduate, college
student, or recent college graduate. My audience may be girls
who want to join the military but are not sure what benefits,
opportunities, or careers are available in the Air Force.
The purpose of this brochure is to creating a recruiting guide
with information to give to young adult women who are
considering joining the Air Force or considering a strong job
while wanting a college education at the same time

Air Force Careers: Enlisted v Officer

As of December 2015 women can apply for all
career offerings in the Air Force
As an Enlisted Female Airman: Careers in the
enlisted fields are more hands on and have more
variety. You get paid less but have the chance to
grow as a leader, become skilled in your job
position, and have the opportunity to receive a
free college education.
Example Careers (but not limited to): Security
Forces, Firefighter, Intelligence, Logistics, Aircraft
Maintenance, Special Forces, Linguist, Fueler,
Cyber Security, etc
As a Commissioned Female Airman Officer:
Careers as an Officer in the Air Force will most
likely be associated as a leadership role and not
as hand on as an enlisted personal. Although
Officers receive better pay, benefits, and
opportunities.

I decided a Brochure as my Genre Project because it is easy to

look at and understand. All information is needed can be laid
out on this brochure and to me this is the most effective way to
reach out to my audience.
