An Anritsu EMEA Ltd support product
a.sure is the trade name / trademark for the Anritsu EMEA Ltd customer support
package product that is purchased in conjunction with Anritsu Test and measurement
Hardware products.
a.sure gives the following benefits to the Anritsu product (by serial number) that it is
purchased with:
A return to base warranty until the support contract expiry date
Access to Anritsu Priority Customer support services
All Anritsu EMEA Ltds standard terms and conditions apply, and in addition the
following:

a.sure basic - Terms & Conditions

Anritsu EMEA Ltd and its subsidiaries will repair without recourse any fault found on
the covered product if the following conditions have been met:
The fault is not due, in an Anritsu Service Engineers opinion, to misuse, which
covers excess overpowering of the equipment, rough handling and accidental
damage.
The fault is not due to normal wear and tear that could be expected for the age
of the equipment and the type of usage.
The equipment has not been modified, or in any way altered from its original
manufacturers specification, unless that modification has been carried out at
an Authorised Anritsu Service Centre.
The equipment seals have not been broken.
a.sure accidental damage - Terms & Conditions
Anritsu EMEA Ltd and its subsidiaries will repair without recourse any fault found on
the covered product if the following conditions have been met:
The fault is not due to normal wear and tear that could be expected for the age
of the equipment and the type of usage.
The equipment has not been modified, or in any way altered from its original
manufacturers specification, unless that modification has been carried out at
an Authorised Anritsu Service Centre.
The equipment seals have not been broken.
This does not cover instrument replacement. There is no recompense if the
equipment is deemed to be beyond economical repair by Anritsu EMEA Ltd.
Limited to 1 accidental repair plus any standard failure per year covered.
Does not include deliberate damage to instrument or theft

a.sure accidental damage examples (not exhaustive) are:

Any fault due to impact damage, caused through dropping the unit during
normal working activities
Accidental drops, spills, bumps and structural failures incurred under normal
operating conditions
Incorrect operation (ie applying power to output port or too much power to an
input port)
Scratching or marking the screen during operation with an incorrect stylus
Corrupting the software through loading external non-Anritsu programmes etc

The a.sure basic & a.sure accidental damage warranty option does not cover any
calibration work required on the unit in the normal course of the use of the equipment.
In this instance Anritsu EMEA Ltd uses the accepted definition of calibration as the
verification and adjustment required to bring the instrument into specification. a.sure
however does cover any calibration work that is required to be carried out on the unit
as a result of a warranty repair (i.e. re-calibration of the equipment after a component
change/repair/modification).
Anritsu EMEA Ltd and its subsidiaries reserve the right to refuse to repair any product
that has not had preventative maintenance and/or calibration carried out in the
previous 12 months at an Anritsu Certified Service Centre or the third party equivalent.
(ie for the warranty to be valid the equipment must have been maintained as per the
manufacturers guidance).
Anritsu EMEA Ltd and its subsidiaries reserve the right to charge for any repair to any
equipment presented under a.sure that has not had preventative maintenance and
calibration carried out in the previous 12 months as detailed above.
The warranty applies to the hardware that comprise the main part of the instrument.
This is deemed to be the mainframe, any mainframe options, subsidiary modules and
module options that are purchased from Anritsu.
The warranty does not apply to any of the software used in or in conjunction with the
Anritsu equipment. This exclusion covers the operating software as well as any
specific software packages (usually designated with MX4).
The warranty does not apply to any of the accessories, consumables or peripheral
equipment that is supplied with main unit. For example:

External cables and adaptors (unless specifically stated)

Power supplies and cables
Batteries
RF power sensors
Cases, carrying cases and transit boxes
Optical transponders (ie XFP, SFP, CFP etc.)

Fuses
Calibration kits or Calibration items
Any rigid or flexible cables or connectors
Mouse, printer or any other associated PC based peripherals

After the support contract has expired, it may be extended at an additional cost
providing the instrument has been maintained as per these terms and conditions.
