Learning Intention: Students are able to describe how electricity flows through a circuit to make a lightbulb illuminate.
Success Criteria: I have described using pictures and/or words what happened during our experiment.

Recap the two main types of electricity we have. (Current and static).
Explain that today we will be looking at current electricity.

30 mins

Explain to students that they will be given certain equipment and must use it to make the light
bulb work.
Once students have successfully done that the next challenge is to use the switch.

Students must then explain how it works. They must use as many scientific words as possible
and do their best to demonstrate their understanding. Students may include diagrams to
