the week and applying to game play

Equipment and Facilities: Blacktop, 20


basketballs(gator balls), 4 cones, 20 poly spots

Safety Considerations: The blacktop is dangerous


because students can fall or trip on it when theyre
running around. While playing basketball students
could get hit by blind balls or injure their hands if
theyre not bouncing the ball properly. If a student
gets seriously injured, then they will be escorted to
the nurses office.

today were going to play a game called
freeze shape tag. Its similar to freeze tag
except you have to make a shape if you
get tagged. To unfreeze a classmate has
to come up next to you and make the
same shape. Ok lets get started!

Set Induction:
Today were going to use the basketball
skills we learned to play a game called
around the world. You guys will try
and make a shot from each poly spot in
front of the hoop. If you didnt make your
shot the first time you stay at the spot
until you make it. The first person who
finishes made it around the world.
Purpose:
The purpose is to practice our basketball
handling stills.
Lesson Core - Task 1:
There will be 5 poly spots in front of each
hoop. There will be 5 students at each
court and they will practice shooting and
dribbling as they play the game around
the world.
