As constitutes of North Carolina state residents, and residents of
Charlotte we believe that House Bill 2 should be repealed. By living in
Charlotte we can see first hand the impact of this law. During the election we
have been informed that you are not for the Bill, we are hoping you stand by
your word for our continuous support.
This law has cost our state over $400 million dollars, and the amount
keeps rising as many companies such as PayPal have pulled their ties in
Charlotte. Other events that have been pulled are the NBA all star game,
ACC tournament for football, possible loss for X-games and NCAA basketball
tournament. These events were predicted to bring millions of dollars, this
income could have helped many hotels, restaurants, and business strive.
North Carolina is viewed as an unsafe place, that doesnt represent
land of the free. If this House Bill stays in effect we will continue to lose
millions of dollars, and you will lose our support.
