“COLORANT” AT CHINA INTERDYE 2010

Colorant Limited, a leading Ahmedabad-based dyestuff manufacturing company, participated in the 10th
EXECUTIVE PAGES China International Dye Industry, Pigments and Textile Chemicals Exhibition, recently held at Shanghai,
China from 14th – 16th April 2010. It was the sixth successive presence of Colorant in this prestigeous
global event.

The entire exhibition was the show of Chinese might in the global dyestuff, pigments and chemical
industry. The dominance of Chinese dyestuff and chemicals industry could be gauged from the fact that
they had acquired more than 70% of the exhibition space and drawn proportional visitors, too. Apart from
China, only Korea and India had noticeable presence.
This exhibition clearly indicated the end of the dominance enjoyed by European dyestuff giants globally.
It was also amply clear that now only Asian dyestuff companies were ruling the bulk of the entire world
market space.
The exhibition booth of Colorant was visited by a large number of visitors from many countries like Brazil,
Turkey, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Egypt, Taiwan, China, Argentina, Sri Lanka, Korea and many other coun-
tries. The Company received positive and encouraging response for their newly launched Colron GLX and
Colron SD Series. The Indian Pavilion had around 35 exhibitors including “COLORANT”.
The theme of the exhibition was clearly the environment and branding but no new concept had emerged
due to the commercial compulsions. Hence, the current economic scenario remained the actual theme of
discussion and it was visible at all levels.
However, customers' expectations were at an all time high during the show. Therefore, the industry has
to take clue from this fact and prepare itself to meet their expectations in terms of product quality,
service, economy and ecological aspects.
