OBJECTIVES:
1. To present new vocabulary and introduce the topic of the lesson( Computer addicts)
2. To predict the content of a text, read and listen for specific information
3. To check Ss` general comprehension of a text and discuss the ideas in the text
4. To present can/ could/ must/ mustn`t/ have to/ don`t have to
POSSIBLE PROBLEMS:
Ss may have problems with some vocabulary. T will encourage them.
AIDS: song, worksheets, Ss` knowledge, board, chalk, CD, CD player
SKILLS: reading, listening, speaking, writing

The teacher greets the students and checks


homework.
T tells Ss they are going to listen to a song to
find out what the topic of the lesson is. The
song is about computers.
The teacher asks Ss to think of words related
to computers and write them on the board.
Questions:
What do you use your computer for?
Do you play computer games/ video games?
How often? Which do you like/ Why?
T presents useful vocabulary and elicits
answers to the questions.
T reads the title of the text aloud and asks Ss
to read the first sentence in each paragraph.
Then they predict what the text is about and
try to explain the underlined words.
T plays the recording. Ss listen and follow
the text to check if their guesses were correct.
T explains Ss they have to match the halves
of sentences to have a complete sentence.
Then they discuss about the ideas in the text
and complete a summary of the text using the
words in bold from the text. Ss report to the
class.

T reminds Ss the difference in meaning

to make sentences about Online safety using
given prompts.
