he is sensible or unreasonable? Explain your answer.
But he needed one in front he needed a lake right in front. The reason I quote this is because I
think Brian is smart. The reason I say Brian is smart is because he needed a lake so he can
land the plane so he doesn't die. It was the first time he drove a plane so he didnt know what to
do so he thought he was going to die but then he figured out what to do he needed water. Thats
the reason I quoted that part of the story was because it was smart.

Chapter 5 Assignment:Positive Thinking

Many people believe that if they have a positive attitude, good things will happen. They believe
that people with negative attitudes somehow prevent good things from happening. Write an
editorial in which you support the power of positive thinking. Use Brians experience as an

example of how positive thinking can help people. At the conclusion of your editorial, encourage
people to adopt positive thoughts and to see what happens.
Greetings my name is Joseph and my thoughts about Brian living out in the forest is I think that
he is very positive. I think he can survive. The examples of Brian being positive are he calmed
down so he could think straight,he had hope,he didnt let his fear take over, and he gathered
items to survive with. So I think Brian is very smart and brave. So if you dont understand
something calm down and breath. That's what I did at school one day during a test it really
helped me out and I passed the test.
Chapter 6 Assignment: Pick an example of a flashback in the chapter, summarize it, and
explain how it helps/hurts Brian emotionally.
pg,56,The flashback was about the time brian was with terry at the lake. They thought they had

because he needed nachez. Also a gun. Also a knife. All of those things will help him.

Chapter 11 Assignment:Put yourself in a catastrophic situation. How would it change you?

1)The situation is a zombie apocalypse. The reason I chose zombies is because it changes
most people. Also most people like zombies. I think it would test my survival skills. Also I picked
it because you would have to look for things kinda like an adventurer.
2)I think it would change me because I would have to find resources and survive. Also because
there would be zombies around and I would have to fight them. Also I wouldnt be clean. I would
have to find food. I would be so terrified.

Chapter 12 Assignment:Suppose that Brian has a pencil. To help sort out his feelings about
his parents, he writes to one of them on a piece of birch bark. Write the letter that Brian might

Dear mom I really missed you. I flew to go see dad. The pilot had a heartattack. So I crashed
the plane in some water. Then I found some gut berries they made me throw up. Then I got a
fire and some good sweet berries and took shelter in a cave. I heard a plane come by but it
