Tables
Incarceration Rates
In January 2012, the statewide county detention incarceration rate
was 3.0 per 1,000 county residents based on the population estimates for
April 1, 2011. The county population estimates are provided by the University of Florida, Bureau of Economic and Business Research via the
website of the Florida Legislatures Office of Economic and Demographic
Research, November, 2011. Incarceration rates ranged from a low of 1.3
in Flagler County, to a high of 16.1 in Baker County. (No counties are
excluded, see notes)
Notes:
The following counties did not report the appropriate breakdown
information of their populations; therefore they are not represented in
some of the statistics. For these facilities only, the monthly average daily
population is provided:
Flagler, Franklin, Hamilton, Liberty, Walton
