MARKET STUDY CONCLUSION
Market study is used to determine the market feasibility of the product of Abeco Incorporated
which is the Eco-bag. It is considered in establishing their manufacturing plant and its start-up
operation. From the analyses carried out, the following conclusions were made:
1. The demand and supply for Eco-bags that was obtained from United Nations Commodity
Trade Statistics illustrate somehow the irregularity of the trend. The projected values of
demand and supply to be used were chosen based on the standard deviation, z-value and
incremental method, mean absolute deviation and precision. The best projection method
for demand is the Statistical Straight Line with an amount of 51,124,965 pieces while the
Statistical Straight Line is for the supply with an amount of 25,405,326 pieces at year
2022.
2. Based on the projected values of demand and supply on 2022, which is the target year for
the company to introduce its product in the market, the theoretical market share of the
corporation is computed as 50.3074% and the company chose to get only 1% of this
computed share, which is .5031% market share in its starting operation.
3. Using 350 plant operating days or almost 50 weeks per year, the plant rated capacity of
the Abeco Incorporated, which is they are producing Eco-bags from Abaca Leaves stripping
waste, is 257,196.39 pieces/year of Eco-bags and has a daily production requirement of
428.66 pieces/batch of Eco-bags in which there are 2 batches/day.
4. The marketing program created will help to promote the product as the plant will startup
at 2022. It has presented the companys marketing objectives, mission, and goals. To
achieve the said goals and objectives, the company had created its own marketing strategy
to promote and advertise Eco-bags to the different potential industrial customers. The
marketing preprogram also contains the targeting market in the Philippines and its outdoor
competition since there were no local production of the product. After designing the
marketing program that defines the products way to enter the market, several marketing
strategies were used to advertise and promote the product such as: Brochures, Online
Website, Calling Cards, Sales Personnel/Agents, Sales Promotion & Special Advertising
and Direct Mail.

After determining the all the information on the market study from projection of demand and
supply to marketing program and strategies, it can be concluded that the market of the product as
presented in the study is feasible.
