Abha J. Cole
Manager of Volunteer Services
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center
1901 N. MacArthur Blvd
Irving, Texas 75061

Dear Mrs. Cole,

My teacher, Dora Mendoza, informed me about the summer volunteer program that is being offered
at Baylor Scott & White in Irving. I have heard many positive comments about Baylor Scott & White
Medical Center, that had allowed me to choose Baylor Scott & White as the place to volunteer. This
would be an amazing experience for me to have as I further my career in the field of medicine. I believe
that my prior experience in Baylor Scott & White, would also help me in my volunteer
I am currently a junior attending Jack E. Singley Academy, enrolled in the Health Science program,
where I am studying to achieve my certification in Nursing Assistance. I will achieve this goal in May of
2016, when I take the state exam for certified nursing assistance. I have taken classes in Anatomy and
Physiology, Medical Terminology, and Principles of Health Science and Technology, this has helped me
further my knowledge in the medical field. I believe that I would fit the program well because of how
dedicated I am to the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center. Following the policies associated with
Baylor would be easy to follow as I am very polite and ethical in matters of the workplace or work
settings. I am very ambitious and well rounded. I like being around people and consider myself a social
person. I am bilingual and am fluent in Spanish and English. I would like to participate in this program
because I feel like it would further my knowledge of the medical field. I would like to help out the
community and make the job of others easier. I have observed Baylor Scott & White staff work very hard
already.
Attached below is my resume, I can provide other sources which list my further qualifications. I look
forward for an interview.
Sincerely,
Noelia Gonzalez
