n.a.
Students come in the classroom and you welcome them. Walk around,
have them put bags on the floor and ask about their day so far.
A pen, worksheets
dictionary
Briefly remind the students of last lesson and see if they remember what
you did. If not, help them along by saying: remember the text about
holidays and what activities you can do on a holiday?
Then the students have to discuss in pairs what activity they once did on
a trip, or what activity they specifically like to do at home with their
family, or both if there is time. IN ENGLISH.
Now, hand out the activity sheet and explain the first assignment. They
will individually!!! work on the riddles on the piece of paper for 3 minutes
and then discuss with their neighbour to exchange answers and see if
they agree.
The students will turn to the next assignment on their piece of paper and
listen to your explanation. Make sure that they know what to do:
You are going to tell someone else about the holiday that youre going on
next week. You have to take some relatives (family), and you will have to
talk about what you are going to do. To help you along, there are some
questions for you to answer on the piece of paper, and also on the board.
You have to provide further information yourself. You will have to have a
presentation or story of about 2 minutes.

Briefly check.
Ask possible
questions.
On the board:
Where are you going? Why are you going there? Who will you take with
you? Why? What will you be doing on the holiday?
Besides this, include anything you want, but remember, you only have 2
minutes.
Filling in the assignment is INDIVIDUAL! You can ask your neighbours for
help, if you dont know a word, or you can use the dictionary.
For those of you who need a little help to get started, take a seat at one
of the tables around my desk.
When youre done preparing, you can have a go at the riddles on the
back of the worksheet.

Presenting
45 50
Now the students will work in groups of 4, they have to present their
holiday to the rest of the group. You will be walking around and joining
groups to listen and provide feedback if needed. Encourage the students
to help out if the presenter gets stuck on a word, but stress that they
have to give the presenter a chance to remember first!
Worksheet.
Checking
Have some of the students summarize what someone elses holiday
looked like, and then ask that person who they would be taking along.

Answering questions
Verantwoording
