GENERAL ADMISSIONS CRITERIA


High School Students
Five or more BGCSE or equivalent passes including English and Mathematics with C and above
grades.
Combined score of 1000 on Math and Verbal components of SAT along with a cumulative GPA of
3.0 or higher, including one term of the 12th grade.
Transfer Students
Must have completed 15 credit hours of college level coursework with C grade or higher at an
institution recognized by COB and is in good standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Mature Students (25 Years or Older)
Must have two BGCSEs, Math and English with C or completed mature upgrading programme
at COB or a recognised institution.

are built. The School of Business offers an array of programmes in business administration and related
disciplines that will equip our students to excel in a range of capacities, in particular in service based
economies like ours. The Schools very strong ties with our business and financial industry and public
service networks, allows us to enhance an already stimulating and vibrant learning environment, with

The MBA programme is designed for the working professional. It combines practical course work,
research, experiential and team-based learning into a 19 month programme that also includes an offisland intensive where students will study at a host institution abroad.

BBA IN ACCOUNTING
In this programme students will be exposed to a range of subject areas including: Financial Management,
Financial Accounting, Management and Cost Accounting, Accounting Theory, Accounting Information
Systems, Fund and Tax Accounting, Auditing and more.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
A degree in any of the School of Business programmes of study will provide students with a sound
foundation for a wide range of careers, including accounting, banking, computer information services,
consulting and more. School of Business programmes are designed so that graduates would have the
option of entering the job market directly, entering professional certification programmes or continuing
with graduate study from a variety of related fields and disciplines.

BBA IN ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE MANAGEMENT


In this programme students will be exposed to a range of subject areas including: Business Law,
Information Processing, Desktop Publishing, Business Organisation Management, Organisational
Behaviour, Workforce Management, Entrepreneurship, Management Information Systems and more.
BBA IN BANKING AND FINANCE
In this programme students will be exposed to a range of subject areas including: Credit Analysis,
Financial Management, Money and Capital Markets, Financial Institutions and Services, Law and
Practice of Banking, Multinational Banking, International Trade Finance, Retail Lending, Marketing
Financial Services, Administration of Estates, Trust law, Trust Administration, Financial Accounting and
more. For persons taking the foreign language option they will be able to choose between French and
Spanish.
BBA IN COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS
In this programme students will be exposed to a range of subject areas including: E-Commerce
Management, Business Data Communications, Web Publishing, Structured Analysis and Design,
Network Essentials, Management Information Systems, Information Systems Resource Management,
Auditing Security and Control, Local Area Networks, Web Server Management, Web Programming,
Advanced Visual Object Programming and more.
BBA IN ECONOMICS
In this programme students will be exposed to a range of subject areas including: Macroeconomic
Analysis, Price Theory, International Economics, Quantitative Methods for Economics, Comparative
Economic Systems, Labour Economics, Principles of Microeconomics, Managerial Economics and

BBA IN MANAGEMENT

BBA IN MARKETING
In this programme students will be exposed to a range of subject areas including: Integrated Marketing

Financial Services, Marketing Research Applications, Hospitality Marketing, Personal Selling and Sales
Management and more.

GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAMME


All degree programmes have a general education component comprising nine areas: literacy, numeracy,
foreign language, humanities, social science, natural science, health and nutrition, computer literacy
and student development. While courses in your major would provide you with disciplinary, technical
and procedural knowledge, the General Education Programme is designed to graduate students
who demonstrate critical, reflective and creative thought and who are able to convey those thoughts
articulately and confidently in written and oral form.
