Pray for the Community Pregnancy Center as they offer
hope to women facing unplanned pregnancies by pro-
viding practical help and emotional support. Pray also for
their evangelistic efforts and that the Lord is glorified in
what they are doing at the Community Pregnancy Center.

Building Giving
Givingthis Sunday, January 29thwill bedesignated for the
building. Giving to the building will be available through on-
line giving from January 27th thru February 3rd.
Evangelism Training
Dont forget to R.S.V.P. for the Evangelism Training this upcom-
ing Friday February 3rd from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday Feb-
ruary 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Residence Inn in
Prescott located at 3599 Lee Cir. The cost will be $20 and will
include food and a book. To register call the church office or

Student Ministries
Beginning Wednesday, February 1st, Student Ministries will
meet at the Sommerville home located at 3 South Murphy
Way in Prescott located in The Ranch at Prescott off of S. Lee
Blvd. Also, starting February 1st, Student Ministries will change
start time to 6:30 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m.
Mens and Womens Bible Study
Upcoming studies, for both men and women, will be held at
American Warehouse located at 226 N. Montezuma St. Wom-
ens will begin Tues. Jan. 17 and Men Thurs. Jan. 19. Women
can register in the lobby of the main entrance to the Ruth
Street Theater. Men will register the day the study begins. See
the churchs website for more information.

 Monday
Yesterday we finished the two-part mini-series entitled
Beauties and the Beasts where we contrasted beautiful
worship with ugly hypocrisy. Interestingly, just a few days
after this account Judas would feel deep sorrow over his
sin. However, there is a difference between worldly sor-
row that leads to death and godly sorrow that leads to
repentance. Judas epitomizes worldly sorrow that fails to
return to Christ. Our prayer is that when you are convicted
about sin in your life that you would be led to godly repen-
tance and not just worldly sorrow. Take time to meditate
on 2 Corinthians 7:9-11 which explains the eternal differ-
ences between the two.
Tuesday
The churchs website, CanyonPrescott.org, consists of
multiple videos and posts from the church elders. Go to
the church website and look for a blog or video you may
have missed or review an older post you may have forgot-
ten about.
Wednesday
Gods heart beats on a different algorithm than ours
does. Our hearts beat to a selfish drum; every consid-
eration is weighed against our own desires. Every sight
is seen through my eyes, my wants, my desires. Every
opportunity to bless another is measured in contrast
with what I might receive. My heart says, What for me?
It is to this deeply selfish heartbeat that the gospel calls
us to die. Instead, we learn the heart of our Master. His
heart beats for others. His heart gives to serve and to
bless. Our eyes must become color-blind to the blue of
selfish desires and see only the black and white needs
of others. Our ears must ignore the cry of our own des-
perately sick and selfish heart. Our hearts must learn
to say, Away with you, foolish desires! Look to Christ!
Only then will our hearts begin to beat in rhythm with the
heartbeat of our Master. Only then will our joy be made
full as we die to ourselves and gain more of Christ.
Thursday
John vividly describes the future in Revelation 7, where
he wrote, I looked, and behold, a great multitude that
no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes
and peoples and languages, standing before the throne
and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm
branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice,
Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and
to the Lamb! Perhaps one of the greatest joys of this life
will be the process by which God adds to that number. For
every person who stands around the throne on that day,
there is a person who has spoken the gospel to them. For
every voice telling Salvation belongs to our God, there is
a person who here on earth tells them of that very salva-
tion and led them to that marvelous God. What joy to think
that God will use you, in this life, to tell people of the God
who sits on the throne that they might be there around
the throne in the next life to tell of the God who used you.
