Subject: Annual Property Tax 2016-17

Sir,
On 02-12-2016, while at Ambala, I visited your office, as usual
since2010-2011, to pay property tax in respect of my above house for the
year 2016-17. The official at the window however told me about tax
arrears which were never told to me during the so many previous years.
I then visited the M.C. Office on December 5, 7 and 15, 2016 to
meet and explain the factual position to the officials concerned but the
matter could not be sorted out and I had come back to Dharamshala on
16-12-2016.
During my above visits, as advised by Shri Mayank Malhotra Ji, I had
written a letter in the matter on 07-12-2016 and had delivered the same
personally to the concerned officer Shri Amrik Singh ji with request to
please do spot verification of the house and correct the tax payable by
me. On phone enquiry later, I was told that spot verification (survey) is not
being done for the time being and I shall he informed before the needful
to be done.
Sir, I am an aged person of around eighty years and it is difficult for
me to visit Ambala again and again and therefore please advise me the
date for the Survey / verification well in advance so that the matter is
settled once for all at the earliest.
