16Menandbrethren,thisscripturemustneedshavebeenfulfilled,whichtheHolyGhostbythemouthofDavid
spakebeforeconcerningJudas,whichwasguidetothemthattookJesus.
17Forhewasnumberedwithus,andhadobtainedpartofthisministry.
18Nowthismanpurchasedafieldwiththerewardofiniquity;andfallingheadlong,heburstasunderinthemidst,
andallhisbowelsgushedout.
19AnditwasknownuntoallthedwellersatJerusalem;insomuchasthatfieldiscalledintheirpropertongue,
Aceldama,thatistosay,Thefieldofblood.
20ForitiswritteninthebookofPsalms,Lethishabitationbedesolate,andletnomandwelltherein:andhis
bishoprickletanothertake.
21WhereforeofthesemenwhichhavecompaniedwithusallthetimethattheLordJesuswentinandoutamong
us,
22BeginningfromthebaptismofJohn,untothatsamedaythathewastakenupfromus,mustonebeordainedto
beawitnesswithusofhisresurrection.

Acts2:1436:
14ButPeter,standingupwiththeeleven,lifteduphisvoice,andsaiduntothem,YemenofJudaea,andallyethat
dwellatJerusalem,bethisknownuntoyou,andhearkentomywords:
15Forthesearenotdrunken,asyesuppose,seeingitisbutthethirdhouroftheday.
16ButthisisthatwhichwasspokenbytheprophetJoel;
17Anditshallcometopassinthelastdays,saithGod,IwillpouroutofmySpirituponallflesh:andyoursonsand
yourdaughtersshallprophesy,andyouryoungmenshallseevisions,andyouroldmenshalldreamdreams:
18AndonmyservantsandonmyhandmaidensIwillpouroutinthosedaysofmySpirit;andtheyshallprophesy:
19AndIwillshewwondersinheavenabove,andsignsintheearthbeneath;blood,andfire,andvapourofsmoke:
20Thesunshallbeturnedintodarkness,andthemoonintoblood,beforethatgreatandnotabledayoftheLord

21Anditshallcometopass,thatwhosoevershallcallonthenameoftheLordshallbesaved.
22YemenofIsrael,hearthesewords;JesusofNazareth,amanapprovedofGodamongyoubymiraclesand
wondersandsigns,whichGoddidbyhiminthemidstofyou,asyeyourselvesalsoknow:
23Him,beingdeliveredbythedeterminatecounselandforeknowledgeofGod,yehavetaken,andbywickedhands
havecrucifiedandslain:
24WhomGodhathraisedup,havingloosedthepainsofdeath:becauseitwasnotpossiblethatheshouldbe
holdenofit.
25ForDavidspeakethconcerninghim,IforesawtheLordalwaysbeforemyface,forheisonmyrighthand,thatI
shouldnotbemoved:
26Thereforedidmyheartrejoice,andmytonguewasglad;moreoveralsomyfleshshallrestinhope:
27Becausethouwiltnotleavemysoulinhell,neitherwiltthousufferthineHolyOnetoseecorruption.
28Thouhastmadeknowntomethewaysoflife;thoushaltmakemefullofjoywiththycountenance.
29Menandbrethren,letmefreelyspeakuntoyouofthepatriarchDavid,thatheisbothdeadandburied,andhis
sepulchreiswithusuntothisday.
30Thereforebeingaprophet,andknowingthatGodhadswornwithanoathtohim,thatofthefruitofhisloins,
accordingtotheflesh,hewouldraiseupChristtositonhisthrone;
31HeseeingthisbeforespakeoftheresurrectionofChrist,thathissoulwasnotleftinhell,neitherhisfleshdid
seecorruption.
32ThisJesushathGodraisedup,whereofweallarewitnesses.
33ThereforebeingbytherighthandofGodexalted,andhavingreceivedoftheFatherthepromiseoftheHoly
Ghost,hehathshedforththis,whichyenowseeandhear.
34ForDavidisnotascendedintotheheavens:buthesaithhimself,TheLORDsaiduntomyLord,Sitthouonmy
righthand,
35UntilImakethyfoesthyfootstool.
36ThereforeletallthehouseofIsraelknowassuredly,thatGodhathmadethatsameJesus,whomyehave
crucified,bothLordandChrist.

Acts3:1226:

earnestlyonus,asthoughbyourownpowerorholinesswehadmadethismantowalk?

deliveredup,anddeniedhiminthepresenceofPilate,whenhewasdeterminedtolethimgo.
14ButyedeniedtheHolyOneandtheJust,anddesiredamurderertobegranteduntoyou;

isbyhimhathgivenhimthisperfectsoundnessinthepresenceofyouall.
17Andnow,brethren,Iwotthatthroughignoranceyedidit,asdidalsoyourrulers.
18Butthosethings,whichGodbeforehadshewedbythemouthofallhisprophets,thatChristshouldsuffer,he
hathsofulfilled.
19Repentyetherefore,andbeconverted,thatyoursinsmaybeblottedout,whenthetimesofrefreshingshallcome
fromthepresenceoftheLord;
20AndheshallsendJesusChrist,whichbeforewaspreacheduntoyou:
21Whomtheheavenmustreceiveuntilthetimesofrestitutionofallthings,whichGodhathspokenbythemouth
ofallhisholyprophetssincetheworldbegan.
22ForMosestrulysaiduntothefathers,AprophetshalltheLordyourGodraiseupuntoyouofyourbrethren,like
untome;himshallyehearinallthingswhatsoeverheshallsayuntoyou.
23Anditshallcometopass,thateverysoul,whichwillnothearthatprophet,shallbedestroyedfromamongthe
people.
24Yea,andalltheprophetsfromSamuelandthosethatfollowafter,asmanyashavespoken,havelikewise
foretoldofthesedays.
25Yearethechildrenoftheprophets,andofthecovenantwhichGodmadewithourfathers,sayinguntoAbraham,
Andinthyseedshallallthekindredsoftheearthbeblessed.
26UntoyoufirstGod,havingraiseduphisSonJesus,senthimtoblessyou,inturningawayeveryoneofyoufrom
hisiniquities.

mustbesaved.
13NowwhentheysawtheboldnessofPeterandJohn,andperceivedthattheywereunlearnedandignorantmen,
theymarvelled;andtheytookknowledgeofthem,thattheyhadbeenwithJesus.

Acts4:33:
AndwithgreatpowergavetheapostleswitnessoftheresurrectionoftheLordJesus:andgreatgracewasupon
themall.

Acts13:1641:

22Andwhenhehadremovedhim,heraisedupuntothemDavidtobetheirking;towhomalsohegavetestimony,
andsaid,IhavefoundDavidthesonofJesse,amanaftermineownheart,whichshallfulfilallmywill.
23Ofthisman'sseedhathGodaccordingtohispromiseraiseduntoIsraelaSaviour,Jesus:
24WhenJohnhadfirstpreachedbeforehiscomingthebaptismofrepentancetoallthepeopleofIsrael.
25AndasJohnfulfilledhiscourse,hesaid,WhomthinkyethatIam?Iamnothe.But,behold,therecomethone
afterme,whoseshoesofhisfeetIamnotworthytoloose.
26Menandbrethren,childrenofthestockofAbraham,andwhosoeveramongyoufearethGod,toyouistheword
ofthissalvationsent.
27FortheythatdwellatJerusalem,andtheirrulers,becausetheyknewhimnot,noryetthevoicesoftheprophets
whicharereadeverysabbathday,theyhavefulfilledthemincondemninghim.
28Andthoughtheyfoundnocauseofdeathinhim,yetdesiredtheyPilatethatheshouldbeslain.
29Andwhentheyhadfulfilledallthatwaswrittenofhim,theytookhimdownfromthetree,andlaidhimina
sepulchre.
30ButGodraisedhimfromthedead:
31AndhewasseenmanydaysofthemwhichcameupwithhimfromGalileetoJerusalem,whoarehiswitnesses
untothepeople.
32Andwedeclareuntoyougladtidings,howthatthepromisewhichwasmadeuntothefathers,
33Godhathfulfilledthesameuntoustheirchildren,inthathehathraisedupJesusagain;asitisalsowritteninthe
secondpsalm,ThouartmySon,thisdayhaveIbegottenthee.
34Andasconcerningthatheraisedhimupfromthedead,nownomoretoreturntocorruption,hesaidonthis
wise,IwillgiveyouthesuremerciesofDavid.
35Whereforehesaithalsoinanotherpsalm,ThoushaltnotsufferthineHolyOnetoseecorruption.
36ForDavid,afterhehadservedhisowngenerationbythewillofGod,fellonsleep,andwaslaiduntohisfathers,
andsawcorruption:
37Buthe,whomGodraisedagain,sawnocorruption.
38Beitknownuntoyoutherefore,menandbrethren,thatthroughthismanispreacheduntoyoutheforgivenessof
sins:
39Andbyhimallthatbelievearejustifiedfromallthings,fromwhichyecouldnotbejustifiedbythelawof
Moses.
40Bewaretherefore,lestthatcomeuponyou,whichisspokenofintheprophets;
41Behold,yedespisers,andwonder,andperish:forIworkaworkinyourdays,aworkwhichyeshallinnowise
believe,thoughamandeclareituntoyou.

Acts17:1618:

idolatry.
17ThereforedisputedheinthesynagoguewiththeJews,andwiththedevoutpersons,andinthemarketdailywith
themthatmetwithhim.
18ThencertainphilosophersoftheEpicureans,andoftheStoicks,encounteredhim.Andsomesaid,Whatwillthis
babblersay?othersome,Heseemethtobeasetterforthofstrangegods:becausehepreacheduntothemJesus,
andtheresurrection.

Acts17:2231:
22ThenPaulstoodinthemidstofMars'hill,andsaid,YemenofAthens,Iperceivethatinallthingsyearetoo
superstitious.
23ForasIpassedby,andbeheldyourdevotions,Ifoundanaltarwiththisinscription,TOTHEUNKNOWNGOD.
Whomthereforeyeignorantlyworship,himdeclareIuntoyou.
24Godthatmadetheworldandallthingstherein,seeingthatheisLordofheavenandearth,dwellethnotin
templesmadewithhands;
25Neitherisworshippedwithmen'shands,asthoughheneededanything,seeinghegivethtoalllife,andbreath,
andallthings;
26Andhathmadeofonebloodallnationsofmenfortodwellonallthefaceoftheearth,andhathdeterminedthe
timesbeforeappointed,andtheboundsoftheirhabitation;
27ThattheyshouldseektheLord,ifhaplytheymightfeelafterhim,andfindhim,thoughhebenotfarfromevery
oneofus:
28Forinhimwelive,andmove,andhaveourbeing;ascertainalsoofyourownpoetshavesaid,Forwearealso
hisoffspring.
29ForasmuchthenaswearetheoffspringofGod,weoughtnottothinkthattheGodheadislikeuntogold,or
silver,orstone,gravenbyartandman'sdevice.
30AndthetimesofthisignoranceGodwinkedat;butnowcommandethallmeneverywheretorepent:
31Becausehehathappointedaday,inthewhichhewilljudgetheworldinrighteousnessbythatmanwhomhe
hathordained;whereofhehathgivenassuranceuntoallmen,inthathehathraisedhimfromthedead.

TheLordJesusresurrectioniscentraltoGospelpreaching,infact,allofpreachingisworthlesshaditnotbeenfor
theresurrection(1Cor.15:14)AndifChristbenotrisen,thenisourpreachingvain,andyourfaithisalsovain.
