INTRODUCTION

Banks are playing vital role in the economic development of a country. A sound and effective banking
system is the backbone of an economy. The emergence of private/new generation banks has been changed
the entire banking operations drastically by the use of sophisticated new technologies like internet

immediately transferred from the cardholder's designated bank account, instead of them paying the money
back at a later date. Debit cards usually also allow for instant withdrawal of cash, acting as the ATM card

graphs. MS-WORD was used to prepare or write the whole project report.

REPORT WRITING AND PRESENTATION:

Report Encompasses Charts, diagrams

METHOD USE TO CLASSIFY DATA:

Data Analysis & Interpretation Classification & tabulation transforms the raw data collected through
questionnaire in to useful information by organizing and compiling the bits of data contained in each
questionnaire i.e., observation and responses are converted in to understandable and orderly statistics are used
to organize and analyze the data of Debit card research:

Simple tabulation of data using tally marks.

Calculating the percentage of the responses.

Formula used = (name of responses / total responses) * 100

CONCLUSION:
RBI recently analyse the trend of use of Study of Debit cards that Number of Debit Cards in India:
40,90,34,442 . Total Debit Card transactions at Point of Sale Outlets: 5,95,62,768

So, total debit online payments come upto approximately 41,69,39,377.
So, the number of transactions done annually online using debit cards is about 0.98.
Payments using Credit Cards is 30 times Debit card payments (value wise) and about 18 times (frequency

used in the transcation & some debit cards like Rupay card have some limitations. Thus this study further
