A Marshall Community Unit Schools | { Oy District # C-2 , | To Whom It May Concern, It is my honor to be asked to write to you and recommend Mr. Max Kestner for your teaching position. | had the opportunity to work with Max very closely while he was 2 practicum student in the Marshall school district. Max worked with my students for about half time with the of a school year and made a very big impact in that short time. During students, he was active in every aspect of my teaching duties. On a daily basis, he led them in rehearsals, taught private lessons, and led both the junior high and high school students in a concert on songs that he prepared with them. He even volunteered his time outside of E.1.U.’s required practicum teaching requirements to teach in our after schoo! lessons program with sf and 6" grade students as well as attending evening athletic band performances with the junior and senior high bands. One of Max's best qualities is his ability to teach every aspect af music. While in Marshall, Max demonstrated his abilities to lead our pep band, jazz band and concert bands with both the junior high and high school students. He also volunteered with younger students . | believe that Max would succeed in any music program regardless of and our high school choi the age of the student. It seems that future music teachers need to be prepared for an ever widening list of responsibilities and | am confident that Max will be well equipped to succeed in any music classroom whether it is band, choir or general music. \gness to consider ways to improve his ‘Another quality that comes to mind is Max's wi teaching or atmosphere. He has an extraordinary amount of passion for teaching music and his enthusiasm is contagious. It is obvious that Max loves music and young people and views teaching as something enjoyable. He is constantly striving to be the best he can be. Max has a desire to see every student succeed.
