Stem cells are a type of undifferentiated, cells that differentiate of others types cell. Their

used for research include embryonic stem cells and adult stem cells. Stem cells types grow a

particular of organ or tissue. Use for the treatment of various diseases. The Development stems

cells could be used to measure a drug's effect on healthy. The normal tissue by testing the drug

on tissue grown from stem cells instead of testing it on human volunteers.

The two main sources of stem cells that are used to grow the large numbers of cells are

adult stem cell and embryonic, embryonic stem cells are cell derived from embryos. The adult

stem cell is an undifferentiated cell, found among differentiated cells in a tissue or organ. The

process of growing large numbers made for type both cells types. Embryonic can differentiate

into more cell types than adult stem cells. After stem cells have been allowed to divide and

propagate in a controlled culture, called stem cell line. Their control be stimulated to specialize

as directed by a researcher.

A stem cells are categorized by their ability to differentiate into other types of cells. The

embryonic stem cells are categorized as pluripotent instead of totipotent. The general properties

of stem cells are unspecialized. Capable of dividing and renewing themselves also specialized

cell types. The categories include are totipotent ability to differentiate into all possible cell types.

Pluripotent ability to differentiate into almost all cell types. Multipotent is also ability to

differentiate into a closely related family of cells. Oligopotent ability to differentiate into a faw
cells. Unipotent ability to only produce cells of their own type, but have property the property of

self renewal.

The problem with stem cell that has been research is that researchers still have to develop

successful cell based treatments that scientists have to learn how to control in the older to bring

such treatments to the clinic. They useful for transplant purposes, generate sufficient quantities of

cells for making tissue. Stem cell their research is that it requires the destruction of a human

blastocyst. Which is a fertilized egg that was not given the chance to develop into a fully

developed human.

stem cells could be used to prevent or cure diseases and injuries such as Parkinson's disease,

type 1 diabetes, heart disease, spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophy, Alzheimer's disease,

strokes, burns, osteoarthritis, vision and hearing loss. The embryo that was destroyed to create a

the embryo would be destroyed for stem cell research and made fully cognizant of their choices,

including donating the embryo to another couple who want a baby. No donors could have been

paid for an embryo, and no threats or inducements could have been used to force couples toward

making a donation.
