To Whom It May Concern:

Over the past three years I have had the pleasure of working with Anallely Chavez as a student in the French
One, Two, and Three classes I teach at Glencoe High School.

Anallely, from the first day of class, proved to be an enthusiastic student. Anallelys love and passion for French
language and culture as well as her fluency in Spanish has made her experience much more worthwhile. Anallely
is a hardworking and motivated student. She actively participates in class discussions and never hesitates to
share important ideas, knowledgeable answers, and experiences with her classmates. In return, Anallely
welcomes critiques of her writing, presentations, term papers and projects with open arms. She is constantly
asking for clarification on minute grammar and pronunciation, which shows her dedication to the language and
success. Anallely is also a reflective student who is always searching for ways to successfully improve her
language abilities in all modalities, making it a point to speak French with her classmates and me daily.

Anallelys passion for success is shown through her academics and extra-curricular activities as well. On top of
being in an advanced third year French class, Anallely also has taken 6 A.P. classes as well as honors classes
throughout her time at Glencoe. She is a member of the National Honors Society and a standout student in her
Health Sciences focus program. She is very active outside of school as well, being a volunteer with the Hillsboro
Elks Lodge, a part of Glencoes Key Club as well as an asset to our girls Tennis team. She is a born leader, being
a candidate for a Red Cross Student Leader Position. In addition, she is active in her church teaching catechism
and on top of all of this, has been working as a support staff at a Senior Living Center. She balances the stresses
of high level classes, demanding activities and a job extremely well. Anallely is definitely an ambitious and well-
rounded learner.

It has been my utmost pleasure to have Anallely as a student. She is creative, energetic and always willing to
help. I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to watch Anallely grow not only in her language skills, but in her
confidence and leadership abilities as well. She has grown into a wonderful young woman over the past three
years. She is intelligent, hardworking, diligent, and a joy to be around. I cannot say enough positive words about
Anallely. I am confident she will be a great addition to any team she decides to become a part of, and is well
deserving of any scholarship for which she applies.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Sincerely,

Reyna Land
