The Life and Teachings of Christ as contained in the Gospel of St. Luke

1 (a) You snakes! he said to them. Who told you that you could escape from the punishment
God is about to send? Do those things that will show that you have turned from your sins.
(Luke 3:7-8)

(i) Where was John the Baptist when he said these words? [1]
(ii) What are those things that he said to three groups of people who asked

(b) A man shouted from the crowd, Teacher! I beg you, look at my son my only son! A spirit
attacks him with a sudden shout and (Luke 9:38-39)

2 (a) There at the Beautiful Gate, as it was called, was a man who had been lame all his life.
(Acts 3:2)

(iii) Why was the Beautiful Gate a good place for this man to be at? [1]
(b) But one night Sauls followers took him and let him down through an opening in the wall,
