This course is designed to assist high school guidance counselors and other high school-level professionals to better understand college life on the independent college campuses in South Carolina. Emphasis will be placed on a holistic approach in serving students and the practical application of this information and knowledge in working with students who are planning to attend higher education institutions in South Carolina as they transition from high schoo! to college and beyond. Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to: 1, Develop a broad and in-depth knowledge about the academic, social, and extracurricular opportunities available for students at the independent colleges and universities in South Carolina, 2. Solidify their understanding of student development opportunities and admission processes for each college campus, 3.
