This past week, we submitted our Letter of Excellence package for the 5 Star award. This is a
prestigious award and the Superstition Mountain Chapter has won the top level 5 Star for the

AUXILIARY NEWS: from Judy Bushko

The ladies met and enjoyed socializing and stuffing pillows. They are becoming quite proficient at this as
they finished all the forms available.
Greg Moore and Ann Ferguson had suggested a project to help the homeless veterans by providing personal hygiene kits
for men and women. The ladies were very enthusiastic about this undertaking. We will be collecting travel size soap,
shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc., at all MOAA events. Monetary donations will be accepted to supplement what we
need and have not received. We will fill these kits at our luncheons. I would like to thank a very generous donor for helping
to get this project off to a very positive start.
We are also collecting old cell phones to help buy calling cards for our troops. If you have any questions you can contact
me at 480-759-1717 or jdbushko@earthlink.net.
Our next meeting will be Friday, March 10 at 11:30 at Dobson Restaurant. Hope to see you there. We will not be doing a
project this month.

January Dinner Meeting

Our guest speaker, Retired Lt Col Jeff Young, gave us much to think about as he shared
information on financial planning and investments. Jeff is the Senior Vice President-
Investments for First Financial Equity Corporation. His talk was both informative and
interesting. Thanks, Dave Rataczak, for having him speak to us.
