3. Learners are to submit assignment only in MS-WORD format unless specified otherwise. Please refrain
from converting text/phrases into picture format such as .gif / .jpeg / print screen / etc. / Anda dikehendaki
menyerahkan tugasan dalam format MS-WORD melainkan dinyatakan sebaliknya. Anda tidak dibenarkan
untuk menukar teks/frasa tugasan tersebut kepada format grafik seperti .jpeg / .gif / print screen / dan
lain-lain format berkaitan.

4. Download the language version of the assignment template concerned from the myINSPIRE for
preparation and submission of your assignment. Your assignment should be typed using 12 point Times
New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing. / Muat turunkan templat tugasan versi bahasa yang berkenaan
daripada myINSPIRE untuk penyediaan dan penyerahan tugasan anda. Tugasan anda hendaklah ditaip
dengan menggunakan saiz fon 12 Times New Roman dan langkau baris 1.5.

5. Your assignment should be between 750 to 1000 words excluding references. Do not copy the
assignment question and instructions to your answer. Only assignment answer developed within the
approximate word limit will be assessed. The number of words should be shown at the end of your
assignment. / Tugasan anda hendaklah mengandungi 750 hingga 1000 patah perkataan tidak termasuk
rujukan. Bilangan perkataan hendaklah ditunjukkan di hujung tugasan anda. Jangan menyalin soalan
dan arahan tugasan dalam jawapan anda. Pemeriksa tidak akan membaca jawapan tugasan yang

The objective of this assignment is to assess your ability to:

search for information
write an essay type assignment;
demonstrate logical arguments/discussions with supporting facts and evidences; and
cite other authors work according to APA citation style.

Part C (50%)
Instructions: Write an essay on the following topic.

Most families are having a hard time managing expenditure due to high cost of living.

Your essay should include:

1. Discuss three challenges of managing high cost of living.
2. How might these problems be reduced?
3. Provide references to support your arguments.

The essay should contain:

a) Introduction
i. Begin with writing the sub-heading Introduction.
ii. Give a brief overview on what you understand of high cost of living.
iii. Provide the purpose of the essay.
iv. Write down the scope of the essay.

b) The body of content

i. Provide at least 3 challenges of managing high cost of living.
ii. Include 3 ways to reduce the problems due to the challenges.
iii. Write each challenge and the way of reducing it in a separate paragraph with a sub-
heading.
iv. The challenges and the way to reduce it should be discussed in logical flow.
v. Support your arguments with supporting facts from other authors by doing in-text
citation.
vi. Search for e-books and e-journals in the OUM Digital Library and/or the Internet
database.

 SOALAN TUGASAN

Objektif tugasan ini adalah untuk menilai kebolehan anda untuk:

mencari maklumat
menulis tugasan esei;
membincang dengan hujah yang logik / menyokong dengan fakta dan bukti; dan
membuat rujukan kepada kerja penulis lain mengikut gaya rujukan APA.

Bahagian C (50%)

Arahan: Tuliskan sebuah esei berdasarkan tajuk berikut.

Ramai keluarga menghadapi masalah untuk menguruskan perbelanjaan kerana kos

sara hidup yang tinggi.

Esei anda harus meliputi:

1. Bincangkan tiga cabaran dalam menguruskan kos sara hidup yang tinggi.
2. Bagaimanakah masalah-masalah ini boleh dikurangkan?
3. Buat rujukan untuk menyokong hujah anda.
