Hinton Burdick
Attn: Selection Committee
63 S 300 E Suite 100

I was very excited to hear of the opening for the Mail Room Internship position at Hinton
Burdick CPAs and Advisors. My brother Chantry Jensen who has previously had the
position informed me that it would be open this spring. I know that Hinton Burdick has
an excellent reputation.

As a sophomore accounting student at Dixie State University I am interested in the

position because it is directly associated with my field of study and skills I would like to
develop. In the attached resume you will find some areas of employment that although
may not be specifically related to the accounting field, but have given me some skills
that can transfer in certain areas. I have a couple of summers dealing exclusively with
people, both on a one on one basis as well as in group settings. For example, there was
a day which the itineraries for the daily flights were not completely correct. As I checked
in each person in the group, I noted which people needed changes in the flight
schedule. Then after the people in the group were checked in, I updated all of the
information on those flight while still maintaining weight and balance for the air planes.
Situations like this happened more than I preferred, but it took a careful attention to
detail, error analysis, critical thinking and some creative problem solving.I am the kind of
person that is focused on the task till it is finished.

Thank you for your time and consideration in regards to my application. I appreciate the
opportunity to work with Hinton Burdick CPAs and Advisors. I look forward to meeting
with you and following up about the internship.

Sincerely,

Collin Jensen
