DISCUSSION:

ON OUR PREVIOUS EXPERIMENT IT ENDS UP IN SYNCHRONOUS


NO LOAD GENERATOR. IT HELPS IN OUR GROUP TO HAVE AN IDEA IN
THE NEXT EXPERIMENT. HOWEVER ONE OF THE PURPOSES OF WHY
DISCUSSION IS NEEDED IS THAT IT MAKES AN EASIER PROCESS
THROUGH THE EXPERIMENT AND MORE PRODUCTIVE OUTCOME,
WHICH COULD HELP PEOPLE WHETHER EVERYTHING ON THE
EXPERIMENT IS RIGHT OR SOMETHING IS WRONG AND COULD ALSO BE
GUIDE OR WARNING.

IN OUR SECOND EXPERIMENT, THE VOLTAGE REGULATION


CHARACTERISTICS HAS BEEN MADE.THIS EXPERIMENT STUDIES THE
VOLTAGE RISE AT THE TERMINALSWHEN A GIVEN LOAD IS THROWN
OFF, THE EXCITATION AND SPEED REMAINING CONSTANT. TO START
WITH THIS ACTIVITY WE SET UP THE THINGS THAT WE ARE GOING TO
CONSIDER. WE FIRST

CONSIDER THE CIRCUIT OF THE PRIME MOVER, THEN AFTER


THAT WE FOLLOW VOLTAGE PARALLEL TO THE SYNCHRONOUS
GENERATOR. WE MADE OUR CIRCUIT A USING RESISTOR FOR OUR
LOAD. THEN THE SPEED CONTROL KNOB ADJUSTED TO 1800RPM.
WITH THE HELP OF ENGR. TUALLA, WE ARE ABLE TO CONSTRUCT THE
CIRCUITS PROPERLY.

IN THE FIRST RUN, WE WERE ABLE TO NOTICE HOW SPEED IS


RELATED TO GET VOLTAGE OUTPUT.BY ADJUSTING THE VALUE OF
RESISTOR WE NOTICED THAT THE VOLTAGE GETS LOWER AS THE LOAD
OF RESISTOR LOW. AFTERWARDS WE OBSERVED THAT THE CURRENT
IN I3 REMAINS CONSTANT IN 0.67A.WE HAVE THE RECORDED VALUES
OF VOLTAGE AND CURRENT IN THE GIVEN FIGURE.
AFTERWARDS, WE CONTINUED OUR EXPERIMENT WITH THE
SECOND RUN. FOR THIS PART ITS TILL THE SAME WITH THE FIRST
PART,BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS THE LOAD. THIS SECOND PART IS USING
INDUCTIVE LOAD. WE ARE GOING TO LET THE SPEED OF

THE GENERATOR TO BE CONSTANT AT 1800 RPM. WITH THE


SPEED UNCHANGED.WE VARIED THE INDUCTIVE LOAD IN 9 STEPS OF
CHANGING THE VALUE.AFTERWARDS WE RECORDED AGAIN THE
VOLTAGE AND CURRENT AND PLOT THE GRAPH.

WE END OUR EXPERIMENT UNTO THE THIRD PART. FOR THIS


PART WE USED CAPACITIVE LOAD. THEN SAME PROCEDURE WE GET
CONSTANT SPEED THEN RECORDED THE VOLTAGE AND CURRENT. BUT
WE NOTICED IN THIS PART THE PLOT IS GOING UP.

AFTER ACCOMPLISHING THE EXPERIMENT, WE TURNED OFF THE


POWER SUPPLY AND DISCONNECT THE ENTIRE CIRCICUIT.

OVERALL WE LEARNED TO DEMOSTRATE WITH LOAD OPERATION


OF A VOLTAGHE REGULATION USING GENERATOR MODULE. WHICH
ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO IN THE STUDENTS.

CONCLUSION:
ON THIS EXPERIMENT WE LEARN NEW DIFFERENT THINGS LIKE
THE FAMILIARIZATION OF THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR CHARACTERISTICS
BY USING MEASUREMENT OF CURRENT AND VOLTAGES.AT THE SAME
TIME WE WERE ABLE TO KNOW THE TERMINAL VOLTAGE OF THE
MACHINE EXPRESSED AS A FRACTION OF PERCENTAGE OF THE INITIAL
VOLTAGE WHEN SPECIFIED LOAD AT A PARTICULAR POWER FACTOR IS
REDUCED TO ZERO, THE SPEED AND EXCITATION REMAINING
UNCHANGED.

THE GROUP HAD SEVERAL OBSERVATION AND CONCLUSION


THAT HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED IN EVERY STUDENTS LEARNING ABOUT
THE TOPIC. DURING THE EXPERIMENT THE GROUP HAD OBSERVED
WHAT WE HAVE DISCUSSED IN THE LECTURE ABOUT THE VOLTAGE
REGULATION. WE OBSERVED THAT IN DC GENERATOR THE
SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR DEPENDS ON THE ROTATION SPEED OF
THE ELECTROMAGNET. FOR THE SIMPLIFICATION OF THE
SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR WHEN GENERATOR IS OPERATED AT
CONSTANT SPEED THE VOLTAGE EMF IS CONSTANT AND THE
EQUIVALENT CIRCUITS IS VERY SIMILAR TO A SINGLE PHASE.

THE VERY ESSENCE OF THE THIS EXPERIMENT IS THAT WE ARE

ABLE TO HAVE A REALISTIC VIEW OF THE THINGS THAT WE DISCUSSED

IN OUR AC MACHINERY LECTURE ABOUT THE VOLTAGE REGULATION.
