Time Instructional Procedures and Strategies


Beginning the Lesson
.The teacher will start with a review of the previous lesson.
-Verbs and nouns are supposed to help us learn to obey.
-Warm up activity: All stand up quietly and listen to the instructions.

.The teacher will count 1-3 and the students will open their eyes to see
what the teacher has done. Whoever is not doing what the teacher has done
will sit down. This will warm them up and prepare them for the lesson.
5min -As the teacher is giving the instructions the students should be listening to
the full sentences and the verbs with the nouns in the activity.
-The teacher should point out to the students that while making sentences we
need verbs and nouns to help us.
-Like when giving the instructions the teacher used verbs and nouns like,
hands, sit, close, eyes, count and etc. All these are nouns and verbs helping
us to make sentence and communicate well.

Developing the Lesson


-The teacher will ask different students to come and make different sentences
on the board.
-The teacher must invite as many students as possible.
-Then give underline the verbs and circle the nouns.
-The teacher will then give a lecture of the definition of both the nouns and
verbs and the differences between verbs and nouns.
Group activity
-Students will be divided into two groups(boys and girls)
-The teacher distributes different words on Manila paper cut into puzzle
15min pieces
-Both groups will organize the puzzle to make correct sentences of verbs and
nouns.

-Here students will learn to make simple sentences using the verbs and
nouns.
-On the board, there will be 2 columns, one for verbs and the other for nouns.
-The students will write on the board the verbs and nouns in their specific
located places.
-In this the students will be able to see that nouns and verbs do not fall in the
same column, therefore they are different.
-All this must be done in 5minutes and the winners will be the ones who are
able to organize and do all this in not more than 5min.
-The best group gets 50 points.
-The best group also gets a reward or gift from the teacher. The teacher
should prepare maybe sweets or any gift for the best group. -The teacher will
ask students whether the sentences are correctly organized and if the words
written on the board fall in their correct columns.
-The teacher will then give 1minute to each group to read out their sentences
loudly and look carefully at what they have written and tell the whole class
what they think about their work.
-The teacher will be able to tell that the students actually know what a verb is
and what a noun is when they are able to identify their mistakes or get all the
words well organized and as required in both correct sentences and position.
5min -The teacher will give feedback to each group and award the best group.
-There should be something small for the other group too to appreciate them
for participating as well.

Closing the Lesson
