MY WORK PHILOSOPHY

Ohana (Family)
Valuing the most important unit of our society is the most invaluable virtue to me. This
gives everyone a feeling of belonging, importance and security by dwelling together with
unconditional love; extending the essence of Ohana outside of our home will be the epitome of
hospitality.
I constantly say this phrase to my guests at home, mi casa, tu casa. With reasonable
boundaries, I firmly believe that co-employees, hotel guests and tourists will have a memorable
stay and will want to keep on coming back to the hotel or Hawaii in general if we collectively
make them feel a part of our Ohana that will immensely reward the tourism industry.

Aloha (Expression of love, joy, happiness of life)

Waikiki is not quintessential of Hawaii as known to most tourists. I would like to
emphasize that Hawaii is synonymous to aloha because Aloha is Hawaiis soul, it is unique only
to Hawaii. By living aloha, guests feel the authenticity of our hospitality that surpasses the
commercial and temporal offerings of other tropical tourist spots in the world.

Lokahi (Unity, Harmony, Balance)

I apply lokahi at home, the workplace towards co-employees and guests. I believe that
when everyone is in harmony or unison towards one goal (guests first) it creates balance in
everything resulting to a peaceful and restful atmosphere. It enables the staff to consummate the
gratification of extending hospitality towards their stakeholders, guests and the community.
