First Term Course Objectives

This course will help students increase their English listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities to:

Greet and introduce self and others

Talk about family
Use numbers to talk about age, dates, and address
Describe weather conditions
Describe basic daily routine
Talk about meals and order food at a restaurant
Name the parts of a house and fill out a housing application
Count money and make change
Ask How much?, name colors and understand clothing sizes when shopping
Express feelings and emotions
Talk about hobbies and sports

Class Rules and Expectations

Children are not allowed in the classroom or in the halls during class. Please leave children at
home.
No food or drink in the classroom. Water is okay.
Use only English in the classroom.
Follow the BYU Dress and Grooming code..
Please keep cell phones silent.
Bring your own writing materials (pencil and paper).

Attendance Policy
To receive your Course Completion certificate, you must attend at least 80% of all classes.
(Do not miss class more than 8 times)
