Healing Prayer

God, you know me so well. You created me. You know the number of hairs on my hea
d, and you even know the thoughts conceived in my heart before I ever vocalize t
hem. You've told us to come to you and ask for every need of life. You are Jehov
ah-Rapha, the God who heals, and you have the final word on my destiny, the numb
er of years I'll live and serve you on earth.
I'm coming to you today as your child, longing to hear from you and asking for y
our divine healing. There's so much I don't understand about life. But I do know
that with one touch, one word, you can make me whole. Please forgive me of my s
ins, cleanse me of my unrighteousness, and begin your healing from the inside ou
t.
I don't always know what your will is Lord, especially in times like now, when I
desperately seek your face. I offer you no promises, no bargains, no deals to e
xchange for my health. I simply bow my heart before you to tell you the desire o
f my heart: that I want to spend as many years as I can loving you here, loving
others, and wanting to become more like you. However you choose to accomplish th
at is up to youand okay with me. If you use doctors to provide healing, give them
wisdom to know what to do. Regardless of how you accomplish it, the healing you
give is always miraculous. And you deserve all the praise.
I absolutely believe you have the power to heal. You demonstrated that on earth,
and you still heal in miraculous ways today. Even when my faith is weak, you sa
y it is enough, and my love for you is strong. And I know you already hold my he
art and life in your hands. It's up to you. If I can bring you more glory throug
h healing, then that's what I ask for. That's what I desire.
But if your answer is no, or not now, I know that your grace is sufficient for m
e. Ultimately, I want your will to be my will. I look forward to spending an ete
rnity with you. But Lord, if you have planned still more for me to do here on th
is earth, I not only need and want your physical healing, Lord, but a thorough,
deep-down cleansing and strengtheninga whole-hearted renewal of all that I am. Be
cause all that I am is yours. Use this trial to strengthen me from a "what-if" f
aith to a "no-matter-what" faith. And no matter what, I choose to honor you and
give you glory.

Exam Prayer
I pray that you would help me pass this exam. Thank you for your guidance in lea
ding me to this study and for sustaining me as I have worked for this qualificat
ion. I ask now that your spirit would lead me. Come sharpen my thinking and help
me to excel in this test of my learning and understanding. May I be able to rec
all everything I need from my studies and answer each question well.

Construction Building Prayer

Father, please bless this new building project to provide activities for our Chu
rch Family and the families in the community that will promote growth, developme
nt, relaxation and enjoyment. Please provide all of the wisdom, finances, and r
esources that we will need to build a state-of-the-art facility. We ask You to
provide adequate funding, competent professionals, and skilled laborers for the
construction. Please give us favor with the surrounding communities and the nat
ion. Father, stir up the faith in me so that I will walk by faith and not by si
ght and give to this vision.

1. Pastor Lord, I lift up my pastor to You. Thank You for his servants heart. Kee
p him from losing heart when ministry gets tough. Help him prove faithful with t
he things you have entrusted to him. Teach him Your ways so that he knows You an
d finds favor with You as He leads us. Keep him open and honest before You and h
elp him to represent the truth plainly. (2 Cor. 4:1; 1 Cor. 4:1-3; Ex. 33:13)
7. Lost Among Us Lord, I lift up the lost members of our congregation. Let the g
ospel be presented to them not only through the sermon but also with power, the
Holy Spirit and deep conviction. Teach us to make the most of every opportunity
to share Your salvation. Help us to be the fragrance of Christ to them. We stand
against the enemy and his attempts to keep them blinded to Your truth. (1 Thes.
1:5; Col. 4:5; 2 Cor. 2:15; 2 Cor. 4:4)
8. Worship Leaders Lord, I lift up our worship leaders. Appoint people to this p
osition who understand the splendor of Your holiness and praise You out of that
understanding. Help them lead us faithfully in thanks for Your enduring love. Us
e their praise to defeat the enemy. May they be the true worshipers You are look
ing for who worship in spirit and in truth. Let them glory only in You, Jesus, s
o that they put no confidence in their own flesh. (2 Chron. 20:21-22; Jn. 4:23-2
4; Phil. 3:3)
18. Spiritual Gifts Lord, I lift up the use of spiritual gifts in our church. We
eagerly desire spiritual gifts that Youve given for our common good. Help us und
erstand the various gifts and how they work. Teach us to use what weve received t
o serve others and faithfully administer Your gracewhatever form that takes. Help
us exercise our gifts in love. Remind us to keep fanning into flame the gifts Y
ouve entrusted to us. (1 Cor. 14:1, 12:4-7; 1 Pet. 4:10; 2 Tim. 1:6)
20. Finances Lord, I lift up our church finances. May we sow generously into our
church without reluctance or compulsion. Make all grace abound so we have all w
e need for every good work Youve assigned us. Make us rich in ways that result in
generosity on our part so You will be praised. Keep reminding us of your promis
e to throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out blessing on all who bring
the whole tithe into Your house. (2 Cor. 9:6-11; Mal. 3:10)
21. Outreach/Missions Projects Lord, I lift up our outreach programs. Remind us
to do good and share with others as a pleasing sacrifice to You. Keep us outward
ly focused so we dont become self-absorbed. Help us teach one another to be faith
ful ministers of Your Son. Enable us to meet people wherever they have a need. H
elp us minister faithfully as we proclaim the gospel so that the ones we reach m
ight become an acceptable offering to You. (Heb. 13:16; Phil. 2:4; Col. 1:7; Jud
e 1:23)

29. Connectivity with the Church in Our Nation Lord, I lift up the Church in our
nation. We humbly unite and confess as one peopleone Church called by Your nameth
at we have sinned. Weve operated out of acquired wealth thinking we could do it o
n our ownbut we are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. We seek Your face,
O God! Thank You for hearing and forgiving us. We wait on You for the healing of
our land! (2 Chron. 7:14; Rev. 3:17)

30. Connectivity with the Church around the World Lord, I lift up the Church uni
versal. Father, we claim the power of Your name over us so that we will be one,
as You and Your Son are one. We want Your joy in full measure just as Your Son,
Jesus, prayed for us. Help us live as though we are not of this world; sanctify
us by Your word. May we be brought to complete unity so that the world will know
the truth of the gospel. (Jn. 17:11-23)
31. Protection from the Enemy Lord, I lift up our need for protection. Protect a
nd deliver us from the evil one. Help us be as wise as serpents and as innocent
as doves as we deal with the wolves around us. Show us how to test every spirit
to see if they are from You. Help us recognize the enemys disguises and schemes s
o that he wont outwit us. (Jn. 17:15; Matt. 6:13, 10:14; 1 Jn. 4:1; 2 Cor. 11:14,
2:11)
Prayer for Work
Our loving God, as we begin our work,
We bring Your presence with us.
We speak Your compassion, Your grace, Your mercy,
and we ask you to share Your gift of peace.
We acknowledge Your power over all that will be spoken,
thought, decided, and done throughout this day.
Anoint our projects, ideas, and struggles,
so that even our smallest accomplishment may bring You glory.
Lord, when we are confused, guide us.
When we are discouraged and losing hope, energize us.
When we are burned out, infuse us with the light of the Holy Spirit.
May the work that we do and the way we do it bring faith, joy,
and a smile to all that we come in contact with today.
Bless our family, our home, our nation.
May truly care for the earth and the community of life
as we try to promote your dream for justice and liberation.

Another Prayer for Work

I give you all that I am this day.
Please brush away my weariness,
So that I may be inspired in my work.
Help me to discover new ways to reveal your love to all I meet.
Keep my mind clear and focused on all I need to achieve,
And give me the wisdom to overcome difficulties and find solutions.
I look to you and trust you are with me this day.

A Prayer for Peace

Oh Lord, sometimes my insides feel like a battle zone, where missiles are fallin
g too close to home. Other times I m caught in an endless storm, with thoughts f
lying out of control. Confusion reigns, and defeat creeps in to steal my joy. I
need your peacethe deep-down-in-your-heart kind that stays with me day and night
and speaks confidently into the wind. Calm my anxious spirit, Lord; all the atta
cking "if-onlys" and "what-ifs" fill me with needless worry.
I know that trust is a big part of experiencing peace and that fear has no place
in my life. Most of the things I worry about or dread don t even happen. So I m
declaring my trust in you. I m releasing the reins of my life again and asking
you to take control. I may need to pray this same prayer daily, but I m tired of
the frenzy of life that leaves my schedule and my thoughts without any margin.
I need more of you, Lord, and less of me.
I surrender and admit: I can t control people, plans, or even all my circumstanc
es, but I can yield those things to you, and focus on your goodness. Thank you t
oday for every good gift you ve given, every blessing you ve sent, all the forgi
veness I did not deserve, and, yes, for every trial you ve allowed into my life.
You bring good out of every circumstance if I ll only let go and believe you. I
know that when I pray and give thanks instead of worrying, you have promised th
at I can experience the kind of peace that passes all understanding. That s your
kind of peace, Lord. And it s the kind I crave.

es wisely and responsibly. If our problems are beyond our repair, help us find a
way, Your way, to meet our obligations. We place this need before You, knowing
that You will guide us to a good solution. Amen.n
