Questions answer
1- Before I answer first question first we need to define the
expectancy theory what is the mean of this theory?
It is a theory that the strength of our tendency to act a certain
way depends of our expectation for a good outcome or profit for
the organization in specific way we need to motivate the
employees or the workers to do more challenge tasks to make
them believe that it will lead to a higher outcome and good
performance so they get an organizational rewards such as
salary increase and good rewards that satisfy the employees
personal goals
Ok, after we define the expectancy theory briefly, lets answer the
question
There is differences in motivation between Abbas and Salwa as
we can see Abbass boss is kind a boring person his point of view
that to master a job you need to do it over and over as Abbas
said to Salwa in lunch break that he doesnt like what he is doing
by stock apples every day and doesnt do anything new that it
makes him upset of what he is doing .
Salwa is happy with her boss he is encouraging person because
his good attitude and relaxed management style also he assign
his employees to do different tasks each week so they dont feel
boring and this what happen with Salwa
So case of Salwa and Abbas apply to expectancy theory in
special points
first point with Salwa it will be the performance-reward
relationship Salwas boss doesnt make her get boring so she
love what she is doing so she believe that the performance she is
doing is great so it will lead to an achievement of outcome for
work and her
second point case of Abbas it will be the effort-performance
relationship this relation mean that if you have a task and do
effort to do it well lead to a good performance but in case of
Abbas he doesnt have the motivation to do well in his job as his
boring boss is the reason why he feel upset so as the relation say
he wont do an effort so there will not be a performance.

Abbas often grumbles and complains about his work . Much of time
Abbas complains about his boss
This negatively affect him where he felt bored and it does not like his
work
Director Abbas does not stimulate the staff and just given orders
without the participation or taking the opinion of the staff and this
affects the work environment, leading to a sense of the personnel,
including Abbas upset and boredom and routine
Abbas has a desire to leave work and the search for another job and
this is the result of behaviour of abbas's supervisor

Abbas Knocked his Boss's lunch because he perceived inequity
within his work pace resembled in the Equity theory; he felt
injustice so he knocked his Boss' sandwich on the floor as a
way to get back at him for his mistreatment and lack of justice,
in addition to comparing himself with his workmates which is
reflected in the Other-Inside concept, he had a sense of
injustice because for instance his coworker Dunia makes more
money per hour just because she compliments the Boss
disregarding the fact that she is a newly hired employee, all of
that has led Abbas develop a negative perception for the
organizational justice. Abbas' Boss, Mr. Sa'eed has to change
his ways in dealing with his employees, he has to seek equality
among his workers, in order to help improve the employees'
perception of the organizational justice, he could reach such
equality through evaluating employees in accordance with
their performance not through his personal relationships,
personal interaction and the compliments received because
when employees see that the scale of evaluation is reflected in
their work that would generate an overall sense of
organizational justice in addition to the promotion of the
Performance-Reward relationship concept.

Moods:feeling that tend to be less intense than emotions and that lack
a context stimulus
no emotion only did cognition also play role but 50% emation and50%
organization

Compare and contrast Abbas and Salwa in terms of each persons level
of work stress. How might stress affect their attitudes and behaviors
within their their work environment
Job Stress :
- When the employees have more responsibility of job and it
cant match with capabilities and resources or needs of the
work and job stress can be lead to poor of good job, and in
charge of Moods and Emotion.
