Fire and explosion data:

Flammable liquid with a flash point of 38 . Readily ignitable


by sparks or flame. Vapour forms explosive mixtures with air.
Containers (including empty ones) may explode if heated.

Transportation:
AMS must be transported in rail tank wagons with bottom
outlet valves made of carbon steel and lined with galvanised,
oil/petrol resistant or vapour-resistant coating, which meets
electrostatic safety standards, in accordance with current
rules for transportation of hazardous goods approved by the
Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation. Tanks should
be loaded within capacity, ensuring that adequate outage
space remains to allow for thermal expansion during transit.
Storage:
AMS must be stored under nitrogen with an oxygen content
of 0.1 wt% or under carbon dioxide in steel or aluminium
tanks. Avoid tank overheating or mechanical impact (whether
full or empty). Incompatible substances: oxidising agents.

Guaranteed shelf life:


Stabilised AMS: 1 month from the date of manufacture,
unstabilised AMS: 4 days from the date of manufacture.
