LESSON PLAN

Lesson content:
A. Introduction 15 mins
1. Watch my dog division video join in in singing words
2. Discuss Sharing Fair what do they already know? Other names? Equal groups. Create a class list of words.
3. Use PowerPoint for explicit teaching

B. Development 5-10 mins
1. Explain task
2. Using fair share sheet model task get students to prompt
3. Ask children what they need to do Set noise level, send off in two groups

C. Consolidation, practice, extension 20 mins
1. Students will solve fair share problems and colour in their worksheet

- Early finishers can write the number of each group underneath, I will then put more on the board they can complete in their maths books.
D. Closure 5 mins

Pack up tables
Discussion on what is sharing fair

Lesson/activity transition:
- In groups get snacks and sit at tables ready for recess.
