Describe Selected Issue:

I believe one of the most occurring issue on todays campus is parking. There are
multiple students who dont leave minutes away from campus and commute from other
cities nearby resulting in the need for a car. However, there is in my opinion limited
parking for those students dependent on cars. Also the parking that remains today for
students is expensive and is an additional cost to their college experience.

Describe the research you need to do about this Issue:

The research which needs to be conducted to help find an effective solution is to get the
perspective of the university and their students. We have already seen a complaint in
students about this problem causing it to be a prevalent issue. I would like to see the
date in how many students can benefit from a solution, how many students drive to
school, and similar studies in between of student parking life. The other group I would
like to discuss with is the university. I would ask about the fiscal aspect, possible
locations to construct a parking lot, and other solutions for student transportation we can
provide to the student body. With the real perspective of both of these groups, together
we will find a place to create a parking lot which benefits students and the universitys

Any challenges you will need to overcome with your Proposed Solution:
There might be possible threats along the way when proposing this solution to fix
the parking issue. I predict that the most difficult challenge will be the desire for
the change and the fiscal resource that is needed to combat this issue. There will
be many people who will find this as waste of time, resources, space of land
usage, and money. The way I strive to overcome these obstacles is by constantly
advocating and showcasing the problem to our campus to gain support.
Encouraging sponsors and community organizations to help raise money for a
parking lot will also be helpful. If I am able to convince more and more people, I
will be able to have enough resources to turn this solution into a reality.
