New Carlisle Lodge and the Masonic Association have approved a project to
Jack Logsdon - 92 install 2 Stair Lift Chairs at the rear of our Temple. This will allow our
Walter W. Walker - 91 members and visitors the ability to use the Dinning room in the basement and
Bobby Burress - 87 the Lodge room upstairs. Over 51% of our Lodge members are over the age
of 70, and many have trouble climbing stairs which limits their access to our

The Stair Chair Lift project will cost $12,093.51. New Carlisle Lodge will be
responsible for the cost and funding. New Carlisle Masonic Association will

WHAT DOES MASONRY DO FOR THE COMMUNITY

The FRATERNITY of Free and Accepted Masons is the oldest, largest, and most widely known fraternal organization in the world.
Masonry was founded on the principles of brotherly love, relief and truth, and takes seriously its responsibility to help others. Symbolic Lodge
Masonry in Ohio, as well as the related organizations, have adopted numerous charitable programs which they support strongly. In fact, the
Masonic Fraternity in the United States DAILY contributes more than $2 million to charitable causes.
OHIO MASONIC HOME
The Ohio Masonic Homes family of services is dedicated to helping seniors through a wide range of options. From the retirement
campuses located in three areas of the state to home-based services, their caring, knowledgeable staff is dedicated to serving you where you
want to be. The retirement campuses Springfield Masonic Community in Springfield, Browning Masonic Community in Waterville near
Toledo and Western Reserve Masonic Community in Medina near Cleveland are where you can forget about the worries of home
ownership and enjoy what life offers. Or take care of your needs through their assisted living services, skilled nursing or rehabilitation services.

GRAND LODGE OF F&AM OF OHIO
The Grand Lodge of Ohio offers annually two college scholarships in each of its 25 Masonic Districts. Ohio Masons have also become
major supporters of the Ohio Special Olympics, contributing more than $100,000 every year.
The Masonic Model Student Assistance Program is a gift from the Freemasons of Ohio to the schools in their communities. The
program consists of a three-day intensive training seminar that enables core teams of faculty and staff members to effectively identify and refer
at-risk youth.
SHRINE MASONS
Shriners Hospitals for Children is a network of pediatric specialty hospitals, founded by the Shrine, where children receive excellent medical
care. There are 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children providing care for orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate.
If the Children are covered by insurance, the shrine hospitals now collect those funds but they do NOT bill parents/guardians for care. To date
the Shriners have spent over $3 Billion dollars on hospital operating costs.
SCOTTISH RITE MASONS
Helping children with speech and language disorders is a particular mission of Scottish Rite. Ohio Valleys have established Masonic
Learning Centers for Children with Language and reading Disorders. In creating the 32E Masonic Childrens Learning Center at the
Dayton Masonic Temple, it has been their mission to provide professional treatment - free of charge - to children with dyslexia. There are now
over 200 active Dyslexia Centers in the United States. All services are available regardless of race, creed, or Masonic relationship. The Scottish
Rite is also one of the leaders in Schizophrenic research.
OTHER MASONIC CHARITIES
The Royal Arch Masons support Adopt America Network which finds homes for Special Needs Children; the Royal and Select Masons
support programs to help juveniles with diabetes; the Knights Templar fund a philanthropic eye foundation; the Tall Cedars of Lebanon assists
Muscular Dystrophy research; and the Grotto provides dental care for children with special needs.

WHAT IS THE YORK RITE ?

The Ohio York Rite Family consists of the following Masonic Bodies: The Grand Lodge of F. & A.M. of Ohio, The
Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, The Grand Council of Royal & Select Masons of Ohio, and The Grand
Commandery of Knights Templar of Ohio. It is true once you are a Master Mason you are as much a Mason as anyone.

However there is much more to Masonry, there is more to the journey. You can find it in the meaningful and thought
provoking degrees of a Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, a Council of Royal and Select Masons and the orders of a
Commandery Knights Templar.

Council has the following events coming up: our Annual inspection in the Royal Master Degree this year on Tuesday,
March 28 at 7pm. Our review of the Super Excellent Master Degree on Tuesday, Apr 25th at 7:30pm. Hope to see you
