Statement of Interest

I might not have a lot of interest in music. Most of the song that catch my attention is
the song that is catchy, and the most interest music that I enjoy listen the most is K-pop
music. My project idea is to write a research paper on the question that I want to know, and
also to express the understanding of what is K-pop music more. Actually, not every people
knows what is really a K-pop music. Most of people, including me not really how they
become successful, and go viral abroad. I also curious how to be a Kpop idol, the step that
they do to achieve theirs dream career. Furthermore, I am also curious about their industry.
For instant, which band or group does cause a trend of K-pop go viral all over the place. The
song that make people recognize in each year and more.

Research paper (Product)

Each music have their own unique style. K-pop song is known for a change in Korea.

K-pop can be characterized as a musical genre consisting of electronic, hip hop, pop, rock,

and R&B music originating in South Korea (What is Kpop?, n.d). K-pop music can be

considered as a outstanding mark in Korea. The spread of Korean television, music, and

culture is referred to as the "Hallyu", or Korean Wave as a lot of people feel familiar. Citizen

in Korea are support and love their own music, K-pop also spread to international fans and

K-pop also help to increase the economic in Korea.

Citizens in Korea love to support their music more than Thai citizen. It can clearly

show that in their countrys Chanel. All of the Channel in Korea are consist with the music

show program. However, each Channel will not on air theirs own music show in the same

day, so it can let citizen in their country can be able to watch the show in everyday. During

the Korean War in 1950-1953, A half Civil War half Proxy war held between the Cold War

powers of the Soviet Union (aligned with North Korea) and the United States (aligned with

South Korea) that kills 2,000,000 Korean civilians (mostly from the north). The Chinese

(fighting for North Korea) and South Korean soldier death tolls reach around 1 million. South

Korean infrastructure is destroyed and (the newly made) south Koreans are left in an

existential crisis after decades of Japanese rule and a decade of brutal war. from this it cause

a lot of death and sad fulness to the entire Korean. So, the government were try to make the

country fulfill with something which they come up with music. This cause music take a

important role in citizen in Korea. Not only K-pop got a fanbase in Korea

K-Pop has garnered a wealth of international support at a surprising rate in foreign

countries, with foreign people, speakers of foreign languages. Christine Ha, writer for Los

Angeles' The Korean Times, claims to have noticed a thirty percent increase in no-Asian fans
at the annual Korean Music festival. "We noticed [the growth in audience diversity at the

Hollywood Bowl shows] about two or three years ago...it includes the Hispanic community,

the Chinese community [and] other Americans we always sell out". That is the Korean

Music Festival alone; K-Pop concerts in big cities around the United States are selling out to

non-Asians (Matsumoto, J.), and that is a huge hint that language barriers are dissolving at a

rapid pace.

Lastly, K-Pop has not only created a spike in the value of the South Korean

entertainment business; rather, it has had the unexpected effect of boosting the value of the

countrys economy and appeal altogether. K-Pop itself has become one of the biggest

exports, boosting the countrys total exports up to one hundred and eighty billion, a whopping

one hundred and twelve percent increase from 2010 (Ladner, M.). According to the BBC

journal, South Korea is presently worth five billion USD annually (South Korea). Tourism

has also increased drastically since K-pops international emergence, resulting in increased

revenue to the rapidly developing nation. 2012 led to surprise numbers; tourism revenue was

double than that of agricultural exports and totaled over thirteen billion dollars. Moreover,

economisc Ronald Man claims that the impressive growth see in South Korea could be

enough to create new jobs beginning in 2013 (Naidu-Gheleni, R.). Such gains have drive

Korea's desire to continue faithful investing in the K-Pop industry as its own unique and

unmatchable export.

To conclude, K-Pop is an incredibly unique form of entertainment with the support of

the citizen in the country, abroad also it helps to increase the economic in South korea.

making it all the more valuable to see the music and choreography brought to life by the idols

who have succeeded in nurturing their talents. It has brought immense economic gains to

South Korea, from the wealth of the music industry to the increase in tourism from outside
admirers. K-Pop has proven to be a promising investment, and as the years go by it is only

expected to increase in popularity.K-Pop is more than an economic success. It demonstrates

the power of music itself as an art form, one that can overcome obstacles like the language

barriers that tend to divide us. The emergence and growth of K-Pop and its fan base across

the world is an incredible indicator of South Koreas own unique economic and cultural

contribution to the international community. Those who are uninformed about K-Pop often

underestimate its potential, but it has in fact spread across oceans and national borders, much

like American music has.

Reflection
At first, I does know about Korean pop music because I feel interested in. However, I

does not know their history background or how they improve their target audience and

famous by any specific detail. To finish this product, at first I have to understand what I want

to know. I list the question that I want to do the research about then find the evidences to

answer what I feel curious about. In the past I have done this kind of work before, but I have

never done the same topic as this work product. I think I should improve on my writing skill.

I always have a problem with incorrect spelling, and using wrong tense.

To be honest, I do feel like this work of project, but since the work is given in the last

period of grade 12. I feel that there are a lot of thing going on that I need to do it in the same

time. I feel anxious, and does not want to do anything. Which cause me feel frustrated about

it. The goal of this project is to finish it on time, but due to the fact that it is near my

graduation from this school. It cause me find some problem struggle that I have a ton of work

to finish including work and other stuff outside the school.

I think, I am the only one who do the research paper in the class, because I dont have

much IT skill compare to others people. One thing that the work processed in the similar way

is we can be able to do the work in the class. The goal I would set it for future project is I

might create a strict plan. Furthermore, if I can be able to change my product, I might rather

pick an poster work or work that can be done in a short time.
