Teachers Letters to Principal

Dear Mr. Hood,

I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with the students at GCA this year. I would
like to take this time to formally introduce myself to you. I have always had a passion for sharing
my knowledge with others. I am thrilled to have the opportunity of introducing students to the
Spanish language and culture that I have fallen in love with throughout the course of my own
education and experiences. Immersion and student-centered exploration are essential components
of the class. Students will learn Spanish through conversation and they will be introduced to real
world situations that apply the Spanish language to the many cultures in which the language is
spoken. My goal is to introduce the different components of the Spanish language in the most
relevant and useful way possible.

It is also my belief that education is not isolated within the classroom. Throughout our classroom
explorations, students will be encouraged to continue their learning by practicing their
conversation skills and engaging with their community, when possible. I also encourage you to
be involved in this learning process. I believe that parents, teachers, and students should work
together to decide what the best approach is to best guide student understanding and behavior in
class.

I invite you to stay in contact with me if you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns. I
will be available any time through my email, Meghan.garland@hotmail.com. I look forward to
collaborating with you and other teachers at Gilbert Classical Academy throughout the year.

I am excited to see what this year has to offer and I am very much looking forward to working
with these students. Feel free to reach out to me if you would like to discuss anything related to
the class and my classroom instruction.

Sincerely,

Meghan Garland
