GUIA CLINICA DE QUEMADURAS PEDIATRICAS
I. NOMBRE:
Habiendo un nmero variado de cdigos CIE10 que definen las zonas
anatmicas lesionas por quemadura, y no habiendo un nico cdigo que
integre las lesiones de quemadura en Pediatra, se ha optado asumir de
manera genrica el nombre de: Quemaduras en Pediatra, para la
presente Gua Prctica Clnica, sin un cdigo CIE que lo represente.
II. DEFINICIN:
Lesin de los tejidos principalmente piel producida por energa trmica
transmitida por radiacin, productos qumicos o contacto elctrico que
produce desnaturalizacin de las protenas, edema y prdida de lquido
intravascular debido a un aumento de la permeabilidad vascular.
2.1 ETIOLOGA
Trmicas: Llama, slidos calientes, lquidos calientes. Fro
Qumicas: cidos, lcalis.
Por radiacin
Elctricas: Alto voltaje, bajo voltaje, rayos.
2.2FRECUENCIA
El 40% de las Quemaduras corresponde a menores de 15 aos, los
ms afectados son los menores de 04 aos y con mayor precisin los
menores de 2 aos, la mayora son accidentes caseros.
Aproximadamente el 70% de las quemaduras peditricas son
producidas por lquidos calientes, siendo el fuego ms frecuente en
adultos como accidentes de trabajo.
Quemadura de II Grado:
Superficial: Epidermis externo de dermis; hmedas, con ampollas
dolorosas, pelo intacto.
Profunda: Epidermis y capa profunda de dermis, no ampollas, dolor
intenso, hmedo o seco, curan lentamente, evolucionan con cicatrices
o van a ser injertadas
V. DIAGNOSTICO:
5.1 CLASIFICACIN:
Son quemaduras leves:
Quemaduras de I y II grado menores 10% de la superficie corporal.
Quemaduras de II grado 2-10% de la superficie corporal.

a) Quemaduras de 1 grado:
Limpieza con agua y jabn suave.
Cremas hidratantes con urea y cido lctico.
No utilizar corticoides ni antispticos tpicos
Administrar analgsicos o aines.
