After the Task - Reflection
To achieve an active classroom that is full of collaboration between the teacher and her students, my MST used and
applied a stable routine with the students in order to discipline their behavior and engage them to the learning cycle by
following with them the routine technique. So, this procedure of implementing the routine was useful tool for students to
progress their behavior and learning skills in the classroom and it was appropriate for KG classroom because it supported
the students to be self-learning in the environment that they are growing in.
Activity Two: Planning for/Developing Routines and
Procedures
Plan the routines for one of your classes. The activity expects that you will
teach the class. It may be a class that you teach for an observation by your
MST/MCT or just a practice class that you teach with the permission of your
MST. The lesson can be incorporated as one of your formal observations if
your MST/MCT decides. In order to complete the activity you are required
(whether the lesson is one of your formal observations or not) to fill in and
submit the planning sheet below.
Before you begin to complete the table talk a little bit about the class/lesson
in which this plan for routines is to be used. Include:
Lesson objectives
Main activities in the lesson
Grouping of students during each main activity
Behaviour expected during each activity (e.g. sharing resources;
changing stations; presenting)
Where are the transitions in the lesson? What are they: (e.g. moving
from plenary to group work between main activity one and main
activity two)

After the Task - Reflection

In my perspective, in my future classroom I would like to use the reward system,
hands-on activities and transition strategy to facilitate the learning for students in
the kindergarten sittings. However, the reward system technique will support the
students to manage their behavior in a positive track which will lead them to
proceed more in the classroom, the hands-on activities will help the students to
develop their physical (fine motor skills) and cognitive domains through applying
the hands-on activities. Whereas, in the transition part I will encourage the students
by singing a song in order to attract their attention and apply the transition in a
good way.
