E. Main report (Each topic should be a separate chapter)

a. Objective and scope of the project
b. Theoretical background
c. Definition of problem
d. System analysis and design vis--vis users requirements
e. System planning PERT chart
f. Detailed life cycle of the project
-ERD, DFD
-Input and output screen design
g. Process involved
h. Methodology adopted, system implementation and details of hardware
and software used
i. System maintenance and evaluation
j. Cost and benefit analysis
k. Methodology used for testing
l. Test report, printout of the reports, printout of the code sheet
m. User/operational manual-including security aspects, access rights, backup,
controls, etc.
Annexure:
i. Brief background of the organization where the student has developed
the project.(for industry projects)
ii. Data dictionary-This should give a catalogue of the data elements used
in the system/sub system.
Data name, aliases if any, length (size), type numeric, alpha, binary, etc.
iii. List of abbreviations, figures, tables.
iv. References: bibliography, websites used
v. Soft copy of the project on CD/floppy

Note:
1. The report should be presented in the bound form (hard bound or Spiral Binding)

2. Minor variation in the above format as per the project requirements may be
permitted.

3. If the Organization / Company are not permitting to share data and source code
for the purpose of report, then the Organization / Company should certify the
same stating the reasons for the same.
