Safety Arrangements:
Underground utilities like sewers, water pipe lines, electric cables, etc. shall be located and
adequate precations shall be taken
The excavation trenches shall be properly shored/timbered if necessary and excavated
material shall be placed 1 m from the edge of the trench
Heavy equipments such as cranes, dumpers shall not work near the edge of excavation area
and be away by at least 6 metres
Excavated areas shall be barricaded properly
Aluminium Ladder shall be used for access and aggress.
All workers and staff shall be provided with appropriate PPE
Toolbox talk will be conducted to labors and staff
Work permit shall be obtained before taken up work
Proper adequate lighting will be provided during working at nights.

Description of works:
1. Take block levels with respect to Permanent bench mark using auto level.Ensure the equipment used for taking level
shall be calibrated by the competent agency.
2. Submit the block levels after draw on the graph paper or drawing sheet
3. Layout of each block shall be done by using total station with respect to reference points and sign off the check list by
PMC's and clients.
4. Take all precautionery measures before starting the excavtion work.Refer safety measures given above.
5. Excavation shall be done by using excavators upto the required level.
6. Joint measurement shall be taken for different strata like soil,soft rock,hard rock etc..
7. The excavated earth shall be stacked away from the excavated pit to avoid collapsing of the same into the pit.
8. The extra earth shall be disposed off outside the premises as per approval obtained by BMC.
9. The dewatering shall be done simultaneously if required by using dewatering pump to the defined location.
10. The dressing of earth pit shall be done as per specifications.
11. Check the excavated level and get signoff by the PMC's and kept ready for PCC and RCC Raft.
12. The excavated rock can be used for soling if the quality found O.K.
13. Sign off the checklist and maintain the record.

The chemical applied shall be uniform and as per manufacturer's specification and good construction
practice.
The unused chemical shall be taken back to the storage area and protect.
Sign off the checklist and maintain the record.

1. Ensure that the Antitermite treatment carried out for the area where PCC will be carried out.
2. Lay out shall be carried out with the help of total station and mark on the pits where PCC Shall be carried out.Ensure
that the instrument shall be calibrated as per standard.
3. Provide shuttering for sides for PCC works.
4. Mark Levels by using levelling instrument either with the nails on sides of form work or put level pads on
ground.Ensure that the Instrument shall be calibrated as per standard.
5. Ensure the raw materials available in sufficient quantity to complete the pour.
6. Prepare Batching Sheet for the day after moisture and absorption correction in raw materials.
7. Obtain approval for the batching for the day in line with the approve mix design.
8. Recipe shall be feeded into the system in the batching plant.
9. The concrete shall be produced after obtaining the Pour card approved by the PMC's and Client's representative.
10. Transport the concrete produced by the batching plant by suitable transport like dumper,concrete pump or other
means.
11. The concrete dispatched from the batching plant shall be consumed with in the prescribed time limit and not to
withhold the concrete for long time.
12. Ensure that no extra water added in the concrete which affects the quality of the concrete.
13. The concrete shall be unloaded into the chute or others.
14. Pour the concrete in the correct location and in sequence to avoid the double handling and save the time and thus
increase the productivity.
15. Compact the concrete to the required level and proper surface finish shall be done.
16. Clean out all loose concrete and keep the concreted area neat and clean.
17. Remove the sides of PCC and the stripping time will be as per specifications.
18. Curing shall be carried out as per the methodology of curing.

Reinforcement Works
Ensure that the sufficient quantity of reinfircement of each dia is availabe.

Ensure that the reinforcement steel is O.K. with respect to mechanical and chemical
properties and QC Engineer has allowed to tse the bars.
Prepare the BBS (bar bending schedule) for beam and wall and get approved by PMC's
and client's rep. before start cutting.
Cutting,bending and placing shall be carried out as per BBS and drawings
The rebar of wall shall be securely tied with the help of lateral supports on either side to
ensure the vertcallity and correct position.
Transport the reinforcement from the central yard to the required location either manually or
by using dumper.
Lifting of reinforcement shall be done by using crane or other suitable means.
The reinforcement bars shall be placed on the platform which is raised by using wooden
runners to avoid direct contact with the soil.
Provide PVC/Precast concrete cover blocks to reinforcement to ensure proper cover
Sign off the Rebar work for after duly signed by the check lists and obtain permission to do
shuttering work.
Shuttering :
Obtain the approval of Shuttering scheme for all items.

Scaffolding shall be provided as required.
Prepare shop drawings for all items and take approval.
Check for availability of shuttering materials as per scheme.
Shuttering shall be properly cleaned and oiled before fixing.
Fix the shuttering with all supports.
Check for line,level,size and plumb of shuttering.
Provide construction joints by using M.S.welded mesh of SWG 14.

Signoff the shuttering after checking and duly signed the checklists by PMC's and Clients.
Concreting works:
Design the concrete mix and take trials.
Test for the acceptance criteria as per requirements.
Estimate the quantity of pour to be taken and requirement shall be submitted to clients for approval.
The area of concreting shall be properly cleaned with loose materials before pouring and check for the
rigidity of supports.
Arrangement shall be made before arrival of concrete like concrete lifting and placing
quipments,labor,mason,chute etc..
After receiving concrete at site , check the batch sheet whether the concrete brought as per the
requirement.
Check for concrete for quality wrt temperature,workability.
Placing of concrete shall be done by suitable equipment.Ensure proper placing and check the concrete
properly covers the defined area.
Proper compaction shall be done by using vibrators and tamping shall be done by wooden mallet.
Continuously keep watching the shuttering and rebar to avoid displacement during concreting.
Top surface shall be finished to the required level.
Clean all loose concrete around form work and reinforcement after concrete work completed.All waste shall
be stored in a pre-defined location.
Cover the top surface of concrete with plastic sheets of 150GSM to prevent loss of moisture from concrete.
Remove the shuttering as per stripping time defined and ensure that the concrete will not be damaged
during removal of form work.
Do post concreting check and shown to clients for their comments and obtain sign off of the structure after
duly signed by clients
Start curing immediately as per methodology.
All form work shall be cleaned and oiled and take to the next location.
Remake shuttering for the next pour if any damages observed.
Take any corrective steps if defects observed as per approved methodology.

completion.
Self Compaction Concrete :

The earth shall be selected from the approved location before starting the work
Remove all loose materaials,debris,steel scraps,wooden materials from the area where the filling
shall be taken up.Also dewatering shall be done by using pumps and dispoae off water.
Protect all permanent structure by hiiting the hard material and damage the members.
Filling shall be done in layers of 200mm and apply water and compact the earth by using earth
compactor.
Take core sample of each and every layer at defined area and the no. of samples shall be as per
requirements decided between PMC's and SPCL.
The next layer can be filled only after the layer below has approved by the clients/PMC's.
The stone of size more than 150mm shall not be used for filling and stones filled shall be spread
uniformly to avoid dumping at single location.
Complete the compaction and testing report shall be submitted to clients and PMC's for their
approval.
Sign off all check lists from PMC's and clients.

Suitability of scaffolding
The area shall be cleaned of loose materials and debris shall be cleaned before starting
work.
Lay out shall be made with reference to building outerline and as per architectural
drawings.
The concrete surface where the masonry is in contact,shall be checked for hacking of
surfaces and mortar shall be put on the vertical surface of RCC members a day before
taking of masonry.
The loading of materials shall not be stored at one location which affects the structure by
excess dead load.
The mortar required for masonry shall be mixed on platform made of MS Sheet.
The batching of materials shall be volumetric and make adjust for bulkage in sand and
water content shall be limited to make proper workability of mortar.
The materials shall be placed true to line and level.
The masonry work shall be laid in english bond.Proper queen closure shall be adopted in
the right angle walls and corners.
The RCC Band shall be provided at every one meter height in half brick wall.and the
methodolgy given for RCC Work shall be followed.
The masonry wall shall be constructed to the required height.
The curing shall be carried out for 7 days from the day of masonry done.To ensure the
proper curing,the date of masonry of each lift shall be written on masonry wall.
Clean out the area from loose mortar and keep the area as good as new one.Dispose off the
debris to the defined location.
Signoff all checklists from the PMC's and Clients for each lift of masonry.

Suitability of scaffolding
The area where the plastering will be taken shall be cleared of all dust,oil,smoke or any
other which affects the bonding of mortar.
The mortar pads shall be fixed on walls at defined intervals.
The surface of masonry shall be wetted atleast a day in advance of starting plastering
work.
Ensure proper scaffolding for taken up plastering work.
The mortar required for masonry shall be mixed on platform made of MS Sheet.
The batching of materials shall be volumetric and make adjust for bulkage in sand and
water content shall be limited to make proper workability of mortar.
The plastering shall be done from top to bottom and mortar shall be properly pressed with
the help of float for better bonding.
The surface finish shall be as per specifications for each type.
Get checked the plastering works for line,level,bonding,undulation and uniform texture.
Clean out the area from loose mortar and keep the area as good as new one.Dispose off the
debris to the defined location.
Curing shall be carried out as per methodolgy for atleast 7 days.
Signoff all checklists from the PMC's and Clients for each day's and each location's work.
