Diary part 3

The image to the right is the black

background I added.
Now all I have to do is write out
the information I wrote on the
story board.

Nearly finished, now I am

going to add the logo to
the bottom right and add
The Pixels to the top.
Image to the left shows that the
title is on the poster.

This is the finished poster. I am

going to export it and document
exporting.

The image to the left shows the CD front

dimensions and other assets.
The image to the left shows the
canvas for the front of the CD
cover.

The design of the CD cover is very similar to the poster, this is so that I
could copy some assets over and not waste time designing two separate
things.

The image to the left shows the front of

the CD, this is the same as the poster as I
designed it the same so all I had to do
was copy it over, I still need to design the
spine and back.

Learnt:
Completed the poster, logo and front of CD cover, also updated ILP,
sources, diary and export evidence.

Aim (22/3/17) First session:

To finish working on the graphics (CD spine and back cover)
Also to update the diary, sources, ILP and export evidence. Also to print
out all of the work for this assignment and hand everything in from the
checklist.

Evidence:
Started working on the CD cover and spine simultaneously. The two
images below show the canvas dimensions (spine to the left and back to
the right).

First, I am going to work on the CD back as this is a bigger document and

will take longer to create than the CD spine.

The image to the left shows the canvas for

the back of the CD cover.

Now I am going to follow the storyboards

and add in the assets that I included.

First, I am going to save a barcode and a 15 + PEGI logo from Google.

The image to the left shows the PEGI
symbol that I saved to add into the Cd
cover.

The image to the right shows the barcode that I

saved from Google to add to the top right of the
CD cover.
The image to the right shows the barcode I am
going to use.

Now I am going to save a CD back cover from Google and pull the
copyright and trademark small print to use on my CD back.
The image above shows the small print that I am going to use on the CD
cover.
First, I am going to paste all of the assets I just gathered onto the
document.
The image to the left shows
the first asset I pasted into
the document; I also named
the layer small print and
locked it as I am finished
with this layer.

The image to the left shows the barcode I added and

I named the layer barcode and locked it.

The image to the right shows the barcode, small

print and PEGI logo. I added the PEGI logo, named
the layer PEGI and locked it.

The image to the right shows the song titles, this is with a 20-pixel font
and the default (Myriad Pro Regular) font.
The image to the left shows the layer for text that locked
and called Text.

I just heard that I had to create an assets evidence, so I

quickly created the document shown to the left that shows
the folder routes to the assets I stored.

I have finished the back cover but I am going to add the

front cover background at a 40% opacity to add some
more content to the back cover as it is plain.
I am also going to change the text colour to blue to stand out.
I unlocked the text layer and then
changed the font colour from
black to red.

The
image to the left shows the
background layer I just added.

The image to the right shows the back of

the CD cover after I added the poster
background.
I am going to export this and document it
in the export evidence.
Now I am going to work on the spine.
The image to the right shows the CD cover spine
canvas; this is going to be very short as all I have
to add is text The Pixels, the logo and the black
background.

First, I am going to add a black background by using the rectangle tool

and select black on the colour palette.

The image to the left shows three main

things, the outline on the canvas is the
rectangle I created, the colour palette
on black and the tool bar shows the
rectangle tool selected.

The image to the right

shows the black
background I added.

Now I am going to rename the layer Background and lock

it as shown below.
The image to the right shows I pasted the logo in and placed it where it
specified on the brief.

The images above show the logo I pasted. Also and how I renamed and
locked the layer as Logo.
The image to the right shows the vertical
text tool selected.

The image to the right shows the text

The pixels down the spine.
Now I am going to export this document,
and document exporting.
This is all of the graphics created, the
checklist created, the ILP and diary
created, the sources and asset evidence
finished. Printing out all work in right size
and handing in all work.
This shows the CD covers at 12
centimes/the-right size.
The image to the left is the file that I
am going to print.

I am also going to print the poster in A3 by viewing the

exported document, clicking Export then clicking A3 in
options and exporting it.

The image to the right shows the print option on the

poster.

Image to left shows printing

evidence.
