VM CALENDAR - 2018
COLLECTIONS
Until 2003, the production was based on two seasonal collections
(Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter) that were designed much in
advance of the selling season.

The products designed during the selling seasons flashes were a

very small part of the production and were made just to refresh
the shop windows.

This organization did not permit taking advantage of the market

opportunities, and was not encouraging consumers to pay more
visits to the shops in search of the last fashion trends.
COLLECTIONS
Following the success of Zara, which was able to offer constantly updated products in its
stores, Benetton changed its collections timetable in 2005.
The traditional seasonal collection was split taking the names of Contemporary1
Contemporary2 and Contemporary3. Each one of these collections is articulated in 2
launches: Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter.
So, Benetton now launches 4 collections per season ( 1 continuative line + 3 fashion lines)
Benetton will not adopt fast fashion in the future. Different color and print concepts
changing throughout the season will give the consumer the feeling of finding a new piece
with every shop visit.
