We are the practicum teachers ( Zarif Muazzam B. Dzulkafli and Sandia a/p Sudhakaran ) from
Management and Science University are currently doing our teaching practicum for 3 months.
We have been assigned to carry one major project and one minor project. The major project must
be done in a group where as the minor project must be done individually.

After thinking for some time, we have decided to do Spelling Bee competition for our minor
project.. The purpose of Spelling Bee is to help pupils improve their spelling, increase their
vocabularies , learn concepts and develop correct English usage that will help them all their
lives.This programme is also to ensure that the pupils are able to tell, spell and tell by the end of
competition.

The objectives of the Spelling Bee are to :

Encourage pupils to explore and study the English language and its roots;
Help pupils to learn to spell quickly, accurately and with comprehension;
Promote pupils knowledge of proper word usage; Encourage pupils to strive for excellence
in spelling skills and other educational pursuits.
Provide an opportunity for pupils to meet and complete with their peers in atmosphere of
fun and friendship .

Benefits pupils get from spelling bee are the pupils can enhancing vocabulary ,competitive spirit ,
greater knowledge , cognitive skills and increase theirs confidence level. In any way this minor
project is an opportunity for pupils to prepare themselves with skills and experience to faces new
challenges. In conclusion, we hope that the event that we will held soon, the pupils will have fun
and at the same time gain new experience with their friends. We also hope that you would
approve our minor project approval.
