Course Title: Pauline Ethics

Course Description: This course deals with the fundamental principles of Ethics or Morality with an emphasis on the inquiry, discovery and reflection on human person;
specifically on the realms of human life, intellection, action, volition in the light of the teachings of St. Paul.

The first part of the course focuses on the foundation of Pauline Ethics. This will be elucidated by a critical examination pertinent to the context of St.
Paul. The second part will lead to the analysis of Pauline Ethics vis--vis its application to the human persons capacity and capability to action. The third
part will provide an in-depth understanding of the virtues of St. Paul relevant to leadership, witnessing and stewardship.

Course Objectives:

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:

draw upon the wealth of insights from the thoughts of St. Paul;
reflect what it means to be a human person capable of intellection and volition;
arrive at a richer and more reflective understanding of human life, in the hope of living it more meaningfully;
deepen dispositions of reflective and critical thinking on the meaning of human nature and Gods regimen of grace;
foster a deep appreciation on the moral teachings of St. Paul relative to the application of such in the practice of ones profession; and
exhibit Paulinian core values such as Christ-centeredness, commission, charity, charism and community.
