OBJECTIVE

As a lifelong learner myself, I plan to spread my love of learning with my future students.
My hope is each student leaves my classroom at the end of the day feeling the best
versions of themselves. After having complete 60 credits worth of classes in an 11-month
program including two teaching practicums, I feel confident in saying I have been given
the knowledge and experience needed to help become the best educator I can be.

OTHER PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Origins Natural Learning Childcare

-Preschool educator & after school program educator June 2016- August 2017
At Origins, I began to see the importance of documentation and how it will be extremely
important in my future classroom. I was able to work with pre-school students on their
alphabet, number and letter formations, etc., and would try to bring enrichment activities
as much as possible.
City of Saint John
- Supervisor, summer camps June- August 2013-2015
I was involved in planning the city of Saint John summer day camps. Working with the
kids in the day camps allowed me to expand my knowledge on things schools aged
students enjoy which I hope will benefit engaging my future students in the classroom. It
also taught me the importance of making connections and getting to know students
individually.

VOLUNTEER WORK:

-Hazen White School

At Hazen White I mentored students who were struggling academically. It is a low social
economic school. For the first half of our session we would have a snack and play a game
and the second half would involve helping the students with academic support for
subjects they needed extra help with.
