Butyl paraben

Purpose/Application

Butyl paraben is one of the most common that use to killed bacteria. It has been used

cosmetic products since the 1940s and in pharmaceutical products since 1924(5). In bury paraben

has really low toxicity which effective in antimicrobial properties. Nowadays, it has been used in

more than 20,000 cosmetic products such as eye shadow, facial moisturizer, anti-aging cream and

sunscreen(3). It also used in some food and drugs(2). However, it will be damage your face if you

used in the wrong amount. In most cosmetics butyl paraben is used at low levels, at a range from

0.01 to 0.3%(4).
