Our R&D site located in Baden is Varians global center of excellence in imaging treatment. More than 220 employees, mostly
engineers, computer scientists and physicists, develop key technologies for medical imaging and image processing in radiation
oncology. To complete our Image Processing team, we are looking for a

Software Engineer Image Processing R&D


As part of the team, you will produce application software for radiation therapy treatment planning, particularly for the contouring
of target volumes and anatomical structures, that adds value for clinicians by its high quality and usability.

Main Responsibility
Design and develop features of new contouring solutions for radiotherapy treatment planning, including user interface,
view model, domain model and algorithmic level
Convert new scientific methods to prototypes and transfer them into productive software code
Provide technical support to external partners
Create design descriptions, requirements and test specifications for the developed solutions
Build up domain knowledge in the areas of radiation therapy

Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science or Biomedical Engineering, Master or Bachelor or equivalent
Experience in programming for commercial software products (at least 2 years for Master, 3 years for Bachelor), at
least 2 years in the Microsoft environment (C#, .NET)
Experience with development for virtualization (VMWare, Citrix, Cloud solutions)
Proficiency in object oriented design, software design patterns (especially MVVM), domain driven design, unit testing
(MSTest)
Fluence in English, written and verbal
