Dear Mr. Sailon:

Good day!

As a member of the Barangay Council of Ubaldo D. Laya for almost three (3) years, it was an experience I
will forever cherish. I have always envisioned myself to become a public servant since my childhood days.
It is in my blood to help people especially those who are in dire need. My parents always inculcated in my
personality the value of compassion towards others. But it is also in this regard that since I belong to a
family of teachers who passionately offer our time and energy to educate the young ones, having
emphasized that point, I will have to resign to my post as a Barangay Councilor effective June 12, 2017.
This decision was not thought of overnight, but that I thought about this a thousand times since serving my
constituents for years already have created a special place in my heart. Believe me, it was not an easy
decision on my part.

Yet, I have already decided. Therefore I am writing this resignation letter to your respectable office and
hoping that you will find it in your heart to accept it. I believe my commitment and passion to serve the
young generation is called for. I cannot help but not to disregard my calling as an educator. It cannot be
denied since my family, as I have mentioned before, we belong in this field which is to teach. My heart
cannot deny it and I am praying that with the pool of talented and passionate people in the community, you
may be able to appoint a person who has the potential to spend their time and effort in making Barangay
Ubaldo Laya one of the best Barangays in Iligan City.

I may be on a different field soon but I will always support the council and I will do the best that I could to
render assistance to the Barangay in case of emergency. I can always provide assistance the best that I
could since I am and always will be a member of the community that you are leading.

With my absence, I shall be praying the best things to happen in the Barangay. For I know God has a better
plan for all of us wherever we may be connected at work so long as it is according to His favor and that said
act shall be for the general welfare of all.
