There was Food shortage, Unemployment, and economic
depression
Most middle class did not have the right to vote
Years leading up to 1848 had seen horrible harvest causing a food
shortage and a spike in food prices

Causes:

Mostly economic and political problems


Bourgeois class vs working class
Financial debt
Economic disasters

Goals:

Create new republic government


Unemployment relief
Universal suffrage(voting rights)
Who was involved?
They revolted the old feudal structures and
created independant nations. The revolutionary
wave began in France in February and spread to
most of Europe and part of Latin America. Over
50 countries were affected.

What was the outcome of the revolution?

Led to the creation of a French Second Republic

Following the repression of the June Days, the French Revolution of 1848 was basically
over.

Success or Failure?: The government of France under Louis Philippe became unpopular
for its bourgeois nature and anti-people measures. The result was uprising in Paris(1848)
that led to the collapse of the existing government and the fleeing of Louis Philippe. So
far, the Revolution was a success. But in reorganising France and giving her a proper form
of government, everyone failed
